A pleasant, wide beach with gentle waves allowed the young children (2-7) to play, dig, and splash with abandon. Lots of activity, but room to set up and hang out.

Wanted to see the seals and sea lions do we drove over to the park early morning and found parking on the street. Not a lot of animals on the beach but it was nice seeing a few pups. We were told they come to the beaches in larger numbers from February through May so we were a little late.

If you are in La jolla you just have to visit Wind-And-Sea Beach which is located right a the water's edge of WestBorne avenue in downtown La Jolla where the surfers ride the most dangerous surf, around huge boulders, some partially submerged and some half visible in the crashing surf. Its a trip not to be missed.

The beach is wide and the ‘boardwalk’ very well traveled even in the off February offseason. There are many bars, a few restaurants, and other beach stores. It’s a lovely walk if that’s all that you want.

Love this beach, not crowded at all. We stayed at Pacific Terrace Hotel right on the boardwalk and beach. We'll be going back there again. The beach was beautiful, clean and water was reasonably warm at 69 degrees. A fair amount of people walking, jogging, and riding bikes. Felt totally safe the whole time we were there, only a few homeless people around but very non threatening. There are a good amount of places to eat within a half mile walking distance.

Great beach for walking, relaxing and people watching. Lots of shops and restaurants near by. Also saw lots of surfers.

You have to hike down to get to the beach, but it is definitely worth it. About 10 minute hike down and probably 20 minutes to get back up. It’s steep, but there are steps for most of the way. The beach is gorgeous.

Visited the park with friends while visiting San Diego. I, later on, had an opportunity to ride my bike along the pacific beach from La Jolla all the way to Mission Bay. It was both relaxing and exciting with so much to see along the way. I met lots of cyclists and friendly people along the way.

Some dangerous looking cliffs. Stand at the edge and you can feel the waves caressing the hill below your feet. Great scenery and a great hike. If this does not tire you, spend the day at the Torrey Pines Golf course across the road!

A wonderful beach in all regards—-walking, surfing, wading, or just viewing. We spent about an hour, and will be back frequently.

We have visited this area several times and we love to bring our doggo to Dog Beach!! He has so much fun and we get to play in the water too!! everyone does a pretty good job cleaning up after their pups, for the most part. And most of the dogs are well behaved!!

I love a great beach and this one was good. The beach itself is nice, clean, and contained a few seashells. I enjoyed walking under the pier at low tide on the rocks.

What I didn't like was all of the druggies surrrounding the area. The pot smell was at times unbearable and I thought smoking marijuana was illegal in public places. That was a turn-off for me. I saw several people that were so high they were stumbling around.

This is my favoite beach to camp at, second place/ close to a tie would be San Clemente State Beach. Being this far South the water is warmer than the farther North Beaches and the people are warmer and friendlier. They both sit on the bluff but have easy pathes to the beaches. The biggest plus for South Carlsbad is that 1/2 the campground is Ocean Side Vs. San Clamente only has 3 spots ocean side. Both are great spots though with clean showers and rest rooms

We were here on Saturday. Good luck finding a parking spot. We spent alot of time watching the birds and the surfers. There is a small restaurant/gift shop at the end of the pier. There are also restrooms. There are jewelry and food vendors along the beach. Great time.
