My guides were very nice and made me feel safe out on the water. I definitely recommend kayaking with them

What a wild tour! In good ways :) And in good waves! Big waves! On this stormy May-day 5/8-22, our booked Sea Cave Kayak tour didn’t quite take us near the caves, because it was just too stormy and rough out there on the ocean - but we had awesome fun and and a pretty wild experience after all!! Our guides did everything to keep us happy and safe, entertained and educated us with valuable info about the ocean life in this very special La Jolla area. We went out in a group and quickly became a big family out there, it was a pretty tough workout at times, and almost every boat tipped over when coming back to shore because of the huge waves - in shallow waters, so no danger and just fun part of the experience. Refreshing :) We’ll definitely be back - maybe on a more quiet day to be able to enter the caves. THANKS to guides, all helpers on the beach and the entire staff. Super crew! Recommend!! *****

My husband and I really enjoyed the kayak tour - we had a great guide - Gerardo at Everday California was knowledgeable and friendly! We saw a whale and dolphins, and the two hours flew by. We would definitely do it again!

While we enjoy kayaking in general, and have always found the La Jolla views to be stunning, the “whale tour” was extremely disappointing for two key reasons.

    1. We paid for 3 hrs and only got 2; and unfortunately, without having phones out on the water, we weren’t aware of this until we got back to the shop.

    2. No whales, and not only were there no whales but the guide admitted to us that even with 3 tours per day, they maybe see them 5 times per month. In my opinion, those odds ARE NOT satisfactory enough to warrant calling this expedition a “whale watching tour”…unless, of course, you want to take this literal with the understanding that “watching” is all you will do.

Aside from the false advertising, our guide was awesome and the water was amazing.
