- missamiannTemecula, CA96 contributionsI have traveled through CBX twice, once with kids. I found the first experience, in June 2021 to be super easy.
Parking was simple and there were very few lines. I recently traveled over President's Day 2/22, and had a somewhat different experience. CBX was very busy, we had to park at an overflow lot, and the lines inside were long. However, the CBX worker checked our boarding pass time and moved us to the front of the line to get to customs. Here is what I learned:
1. Reserve Parking online before going, I'd pay for the premium parking or valet. Arrive at least two hours early.
2. Check-in to your flight at least two hours before via internet or mobile. We flew on Volaris and our friends' seats were given away because they waited to check in at the CBX kiosk. They were an hour and 45 min early.
3. If you park in a cheaper or overflow lot, be prepared to wait. There is no automation, you have to find a person.
Overall, I find CBX to be an excellent value and will definitely fly out of there again. On April 29th, 2022, I had customers scheduled for round trip transfers from the San Diego airport to the Guadalupe Valley in Mexico (return May 1, 2022). Three hours before their scheduled pickup time, I received a call from the transfer company that they were cancelling the transfers. I immediately searched for and contacted several driver services in the San Diego area. Several simply responded they were booked or they couldn’t do anything on such short notice. When I reached City Captain and explained the situation, they immediately went into action to find a driver. Both Matthew (first person I spoke with) and Joseph (person I worked with to confirm the booking) were very responsive and seemed to have a genuine interest to help find a solution for the customers. We are very grateful and appreciative that this company and those working there care enough to make things happen on short notice. Peter is the sweetest person and very helpful. From having to be up at 4 in the morning to pick us up to explaining how to cross the border into Tijuana for the plane he was amazing. Best transportation company in San Diego. We rented VIP Sprinter Van from ARIA Transportation & Travel for Brewery Tours. Driver Tomas was on time and very kind with my parents and friends. They will never embrassed you to your loved ones on your special occasion. - Guillermo A2 contributionsSo i wanted to surprise my wife with a romantic day of wine tasting. I contacted Phillip from Perfect Pour Excursions. He came to our house, brought us down to Rosarito for breakfast tacos at Tacos El Yaqui. Increíble stop. Highly recommend. Then off to Valle de Guadalupe. We went to this one vineyard that was way off the main road. (Solar Fortún) increíble wine & food pairing. Every part of the day was carefully planned. Philip knew all the secret stops. His personal stores are Legendary from Baja Racing, to traveling the world. You can tell he has been doing these tours since 2017 and his own business since 2019. - Jim BVista, CA125 contributionsI arranged for a pick-up from LAX to Vista. We arrived on an international flight with three pet carriers and 4 pieces of luggage. I received an email the day before our trip, confirming the details of our pick-up time and location. Our flight arrived earlier than scheduled, yet our driver was already waiting for us and I received a text message with his contact information. Unfortunately, it took us almost 2 hours to make our way through US immigration and customs; however, I kept our driver, Nas, informed of our progress. There was no extra charge for this wait time. Nas helped us with our luggage and was polite and pleasant in spite of this delay. The vehicle was clean and accommodated our luggage and the pet carriers just fine. The drive from LAX to Vista took about 2 hours, and Nas was a careful and courteous driver in spite of traffic. Nas also played relaxing music (not doctor's office stuff) the entire drive which was greatly appreciated.
We found Affordable Airport Transportation to be a great value and we highly recommend their services due to their superior customer service and communications.

Their online booking software is super straightforward and I get confirmations on my bookings immediately.
My driver, Rami, came 30 minutes early for my flight and was prompt when helping me get my bags from my house to the car, which by the way was a BMW 740i 😍.
