- BrumbaSavage, MN140 contributionsThe beach is wide and the ‘boardwalk’ very well traveled even in the off February offseason. There are many bars, a few restaurants, and other beach stores. It’s a lovely walk if that’s all that you want.Written 17 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Joe LPeoria, AZ9 contributionsLove this beach, not crowded at all. We stayed at Pacific Terrace Hotel right on the boardwalk and beach. We'll be going back there again. The beach was beautiful, clean and water was reasonably warm at 69 degrees. A fair amount of people walking, jogging, and riding bikes. Felt totally safe the whole time we were there, only a few homeless people around but very non threatening. There are a good amount of places to eat within a half mile walking distance.Written 22 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- kyendleyKelowna, Canada39 contributionsGreat beach for walking, relaxing and people watching. Lots of shops and restaurants near by. Also saw lots of surfers.Written 12 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- nkwinsoregon1Â 096 contributionsI love this park. We took a friend's dog here and the view was incredible. Cute dogs with a city and water views. I wish I lived closer. I'd go here all the time!Written 16 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sanjiv KVancouver18 contributionsWe visited a few times in June 2018 with a couple of toddlers during our visit to San Diego. The park area and nearby beach/sand shores were filled with families.
It was a 3 minute walk from our condo at Fanuel and Pacific Beach Drive!
The park has a bit of grass, along with the play structure which has sand flooring. It’s suitable for toddlers and kids up to ~7 to 8 years. There are a couple of slides and some swings-both open seat and toddler safety swings. The play structure is physically separated from the beach area and water- which is 20 steps away. The park is on the bay side, so it’s calm water as opposed to the beach which faces the pacific (and has surfing).
A great place to give your kids the option of beach or playground.
There are outdoor showers and individual bathrooms, which are relatively clean. And yes, a few homeless frequented the park and bathroom facilities in the days we visited, but there were no negative interactions.
The park leads to the concrete walkway which extends along the beach out west towards the homes and resorts.
There are a few Bird scooters parked nearby, so you can grab one and go for a ride once you activate it on your cell.Written 28 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - iluv2eatntravelSan Diego, CA1Â 872 contributionsNice family park that faces Mission Bay. It has a nice grassy area, restrooms, bike and walking paths - perfect for a nice family getaway. Ample parking but go early as it can get crowded especially during weekends in the summer.Written 27 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- airbrushLa Jolla, CA469 contributionsIt’s nice to have a fenced in park with a bit of grass and shade. The small (30lb. $ under ) side is nicer and I hope the city fixes up the big side and finally opens more to take the pressure off this one. There are hundreds of users a day and it gets a lot of wear and tear.Written 7 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Steven WLebanon, NJ38 contributionsGreat experience renting bikes - quality bikes, made it easy - provided helmets, had bells (need bells on the Ocean Front walk - people don't move over and need some notice) and locks. Start in PB and take a ride down to MIssion beach, awesome ride. Plenty of parkingWritten 5 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
