We stopped by the last night in La Jolla. I have had Green Flash beer before so I knew we would be having some good brews. I was impressed by the brewery and it looks like a really cool place to hang out.

This place is AWESOME! I'm a beer craft lover and this place has it all (except food, please have something to eat before you come).

From a coffee bar to a beer shop with all kinds of souvenirs, special beers that you can only buy in place, more than 40 beers on tap and the atmosphere at this place is undescriptive. This is what a REAL craft beer lover is actually looking for.

Please don't forget to look at the detail of the books behind the bar, its EPIC.

Got here as they opened. The bar staff was very friendly and informative. I ordered a flight and it was tasty. The atmosphere is nice and the beer was good. Will be back when I’m in town again

Many of their beers work with our pallet. Their Dunkel is outstanding!! Friendly staff, located in cool old Wonder Bread factory within quick walk of the stadium / gas lamp area.

Dog-friendly & free games to play as well.

Will be going back here again for sure!

Note: I would be a bit leery of walking around there after dark but that’s just me.

Sat on roof top for dinner. Heaters on made it lovely. Good service all night. Fried pickles app is so good (love the spicy ranch). Italian flatbread was really good as was the 3 cheese Mac & cheese. Salmon was good too. Also had Chris for dessert. Just yum.

Stone Brewing has a national reputation and many of its IPAs are available elsewhere. But there is so much more to their beer list. You will find some yummy stouts and porters as well as some experimental hard seltzer here. In all, there are about 30 on tap with every tap looking the same. Employees have to memorize the taps. No dummies working here! The food is excellent and reservations are recommended. However its easy for one or two people to sit at the bar or 2 top tables surrounding the bar and those are first come.

Pandemic times meant this place was closed for quite some time this year but one day I wandered past and it was open and some tables added outside. This North Park location for their San Diego craft beers is a tasting room and no food menu so they had to get creative like everywhere else. They were selling pizzas by the slice to conform to the rules so I decided to stop and have a quick lunch. The roll up windows made sitting up at the counters overlooking the street seem like being outside. The barkeep recommended a Kolsch which was very good and even the pizza slice wasn't bad for a place winging it. It was just good to see them back up and running doing what they have to do. Don't miss the photo op of the outside wall mural. Many come for the mural, but stay for the beer.

Modern Times North Park location is one of a bevvy of spots to hit for a tourist visitng the city. A quick bus trip of rideshare from downtown San Diego, the adventurous tourist can have a grand time visiting this hip neighborhood.

Modern Times was our initial stop, and it was a great way to whet our whistles before spending a handful of hours checking out the North Park scene. While the Black House will always be my favorite, I ventured out and tried a few that were only available on draught at the brewery.

Great beer selection and friendly service on the waterfront. What else could you ask for ? I recommend the Baltic Porter.

Best beer and tacos we had in our week stay in San Diego. The service was out of this world. This MUST be a stop for anyone who like beer and or tacos! You won’t regret it.

We visited on a Thursday evening.
The bartender greeted us warmly and gave us the low down, as we are from out of state. We each ordered a flight, all were excellent. URBN food truck was there and we enjoyed their URBN salad with chicken and vinaigrette. All in all, it was a pleasant visit.

Good selection of beers that run the gamut from mead to stouts. We had a few flights and liked everything. Very friendly with a lot of people tasting.

First time but will be a repeat customer. IPA’s and Stouts were awesome as was the staff’s knowledge and courtesy. Stopped by after a golf tournament and wondered why I had never ventured here before. Reasonable prices too. Plenty of parking by the building or on street. Safe too.
