Marvellous gardens, extremely well-kept. Unfortunately both the museums were both closed for renovation

It is quite hot inside the museum since there were nothing except fans in most areas of the museum. Cooling systems were only located in two small exhibits, one of the two was Tutankhamun’s.

Tut exhibit was the main reason for me to go there and i wasn’t disappointed at all, it was completely worth it.

My tip is to wear something extremely light if you’re visiting during the summer.

Getting here was a bit complicated. We tried to save money and take the Citi bus but it dropped us far away. We landed up takin uber for the last 1km or so.

We had not booked tickets so we stood in line (as per the ushers instruction) till we notices self-serve ATM like kiosk which we could use a cc to buy tickets. That saved us a lot of time.

We had no wait and were up in jiffy.

The cable car ride was nice and views were great.

A must do if you are in Sharm and you are not a diver: good for old and young. (if you are a certified diver and want nice immersions, there are dedicated tours in the same area). A roughly 2 hours boat trip will bring you to a very nice coral barrier where you can snorkel and watch plenty of fish. Just outstanding! If you wish you can arrange upfront with the tour organizer a “try dive” for a small addition to the tour price. (My kids dit it and were very satisfied). The boat will make a second stop close to a sand strip with crystal clear water in the middle of the see: very nice but less impressing than watching the undersee flora and fauna. Regarding the choice of the operator: while every operator will claim that “his package” is special, thy are all exactly the same: if you are budget sensitive you should pick up the cheapest provider (remembering that in Egypt the price they quote is just the beginning of a negotiation). Price is the only distinguishing factor: you will not actually meet the actual operator you contracted, but you be picked up at your hotel and, together with other excursionists picked up in other hotels, you will be brought into the Marina where plenty of other people are delivered. Please note that the concept of price as only distinguishing factor is also true for other “short and local” activities (such as the desert experience with quad and camel driving) but it is NOT necessary applicable to customized longer tours (see for example my review with a private tour to mount Sinai and St. Catharina Monastery): there you will be for a long time in contact with the tour organizer, and you should ensure upfront his (all males in my experience!) reliability, level of knowledge and capability to interact.
Back to the boat trip to Ras Mohammed: just do it!

I absolutely loved this! One of the best things I’ve done in Africa. I love how the orphanage is taking care of these beautiful creatures and giving them a second chance. Being able to see them up close and hear their stories was incredibly special. This was an unforgettable experience. The baby elephants are absolutely adorable!
Would have loved to give a donation and come back but their donation amount was a bit high for just two people. Maybe this is something they could reconsider to allow more people to donate and have a personal experience.
I would love to come back again if I ever visit Nairobi!

A great really well structured museum with an immense amount of documentation. The longer videos which can be watched are a must. It helps to understand the tension that still exists and the opportunities that have been denied to so many people.

    Large sandy beach
    Silky soft sand
    Good restaurants surrounding it
Busy promenade/path surrounding it pro or con depending on taste , good for access to stuff but bad for hassle especially if you’re an English female, we found walking this street a nightmare .

We bought a package to Ile aux Cerfs from Ebrahim Tours and had a nice day by the beach at this island. We opted for the speed boat trip and had more time on the beach. Lunch was served on the island. We also had a nice short ride to the waterfalls where we saw the little monkeys :)
Lunch was served on the island.

I highly recommend a trip to Crocoparc. It`s not everyday one gets a chance to get so close to crocodiles! There is a small selection of other animals also including monkeys, lizards, snakes and turtles etc. It was July during temperatures too hot for an Irish lady (40degrees) but the amazing views and watching the crocodiles eat was so interesting. I honestly thought the crocodiles looked fake because they would stay still for so long with their jaws wide open. There was ample time and loads of opportunities to capture amazing pictures. A fantastic day out with friends that I would do again if ever back in Morocco!

really amazing. considering that the site is 3000 years old. the pictures and the colours are something special. although i wouldn't advise going when i did. in the middle of summer. 42 to 44c . very flat and white so reflects the sun . not suitable for young children. water goes hot quite quickly.
