- Ruby M2 contributionsGrape Creek was beautiful and Laurie our Sommelier was amazing and informative. She made our experience worth flying out 1279 miles!!Written 19 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Anne BNashville, TN8 contributionsVery well done and informative. Focus is on the navy, wish there was more on the army/air force involvement. But really an outstanding museum.Written 30 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Lisa SHummelstown, PA9 953 contributionsOur friends we were traveling with had been here 15 yrs ago and highly recommended we all return. So we went on a Friday. First we stopped at the welcome station, however the bathrooms were closed. There are flush toilets near the base of the rock along with port-a-johns. Also there was a water refilling station.
Off we went up the rock on a sunny but very windy day! It was quite busy with people of all ages. Wear closed toe shoes, a hat/sunglasses and sunscreen.
The rock is steep looking in a few places but when you are actually on it it’s not as steep as it appears. It is not an easy climb up nor would I say it’s challenging but it is a workout. There are no loose pebbles but you will find areas that are not level so you must mind your step. It took us about an hour up and back and we sat and had a snack at the top.
We also did the Loop Trail at the bottom.
We returned at night for a Star Party at the base of the rock held in a parking lot. 3 rangers had telescopes and showed us various things in the night sky. If you’ve never attended such an event I recommend it.Written 13 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Compared to other wineries in the area, they are newer to the game having only been in production for about 4-5 years. In that short amount of time, they have become a leader in growing some unique grape varieties and have produced some award-winning wines. I would recommend making a reservation for a dry tasting and trying to get Stewart as your host if possible. The tasting room also offers a nice accompaniment menu with fruit, cheese, and other complementary charcuterie offerings.Written 5 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Wynn RMorgan Hill, CA1 963 contributionsWe came here to see the 2024 eclipse. While the weather was spotty and we only got a few glimpses of totality, it was still a great place to see the eclipse and the people were very friendly.Written 16 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cheri CStonington, CT38 contributionsA beautiful ride by car to see the spring blooms and wildlife. Some parts of the road are narrow so RV's are not a good option, very few pull over areas, but it seems that where they do exist are great spots to get out for photos. We went at 8 am and had no problem with traffic. Love love loved it.Written 16 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jen WFenton, MI208 contributionsNice reconstruction of a pioneer village and historical information about the German founding families. Easy to access and include in a visit to downtown. The gift shop had some lovely handmade items.Written 15 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Margaret K1 contributionVery nice viewing area with a guide who explains all about the bats. However, just to let you know, the upper level is NOT free. It is $2.00/person.Written 11 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- L HTexas2 518 contributionsWe had not been to this venue in some time and last minute bought tickets to see the Olivia Newton-John Tribute Show. We were able to get great seating.
The theater is small so there are really no bad seats but we try to get the same two when we go.
You can buy tickets online and they have a list when you arrive to check your name.
There is a bar with wine, sodas, mixed drinks and snacks. The wine was $10 a glass, which was reasonable for that venue, but not so good as it tasted as if it had been open a bit too long.
The show was lively and interactive and the sound level was just right.
The songs choices were mostly geared to Xanadu and Grease and would have liked to have heard a few others but still entertaining.
The staff was friendly and attentive.
Parking for the venue is on the streets. We arrived early to park and then walked to eat and browse downtown.
When asked, there seemed to be half the crowd that had been here before and half that had not.
We see several upcoming shows of interest and will be back.
It is nice to have this type of venue in our area.Written 14 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Casey (KC) was in charge of our group and she was so knowledgable, professional, friendly and fun that our guests decided to join the club as well.
On the other hand, the four of us came back the next day to celebrate our daughters 30th birthday (yes, her birthday was that day), and even though we were all members now, the person that seved us, denied any special treatment for the birthday girl by telling us that as members " we already had a complimentary glass of wine".
So we drank our "complimetary glass of wine" and left very dissapointed by the second treatment that they (she) gave us.Written 20 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
