Tipton-Haynes Historic Site
#1 of 3 Sights & Landmarks in Johnson City
The site itself is rich in history, marvelously well preserved, and expertly managed by museum director John Parrish and his staff.
We were unaware of the Tipton family history and its impact on Northeast Tennessee until we were persuaded to visit the Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site.

#1 of 1 Sights & Landmarks in Piney Flats
The "actors" on the tour are very educated on this very historic view of early times at Rocky Mount.
The grounds are beautiful and the views are breathtaking.
Elizabethton Covered Bridge Elizabethton 12.3 km away
#2 of 5 Sights & Landmarks in Elizabethton
The surrounding view of the bridge; the picnic area; and the river itself are all a tribute to the love that the community has for the bridge and its preservation in history.
Great historic place to visit you can spend about an hour visting this site you could drive across this bridge until about 15 years ago but now you can only walk it .
