- Libby W1 contributionThis company is the definition of a disaster, there is another term I would like to use the ends with show but I will leave that up to y'all to piece together. When we arrived at 10:15 AM for our 10:30 AM rental time there were already a few groups ahead of us in line, all of whom had the same start time. Our two captains proceeded to wait in line for OVER AN HOUR just to check in. Keep in mind we had already rented the boat days prior so just needed to check in and then go through orientation. At this point it was 11:30, we asked one of the employees if this was going to cut into our rental time since it was supposed to start at 10:30 AM, they assured us that our four hour slot time wouldn't start until orientation was finished. When we got down to the dock we were told to have the boat back at 2:45 and we would not be getting our full four hours. When I asked if we were going to get money back for not getting the full time we paid for they spoke with the owner and got our time extended to 3:15. We arrived back at the dock at 3:30 and were told we would need to pay a late fee (keep in mind there was no late fee for the company getting us on the boat over an hour past our rental time). When we asked the employees on the dock about this they said that the front desk said there was no line at check in and that our group was late. This entire organization is incredibly unprofessional and a waste of time and money. We have rented from them the previous two summers and this is always the trend, however this year was the absolute worst we have ever experienced. We had also called ahead and asked if small dogs were allowed to which they let us know that no dogs are allowed on ANY of the boats. When we arrived we saw three dogs get onto rented boats. The lack of communication between the dock, the check in shack and the owner who is apparently pointing fingers at everyone but himself, is appalling.
