- Matty7 contributionsSuch a fun tour day trip out of the city. Taylor was such a great tour guide and timed our day perfectly to see the sunset from the perfect spot! He even made us some hot chocolate to have while we watched. You can tell how much he loves what he does as he’s so excited to share his knowledge with the group and with such enthusiasm. It made for a great tour. - CJ112015Lexington, MA139 contributionsWe were a small group of 10: 4 friends in their 30s, a couple in their 30s, two solo folk in their 50s and a couple in their 60s with Shawn as the driver, guide, and all-knowing expert on many topics ( wine, the region, Oregon history, etc). It was a great day…we visited three vineyards of different sizes and were guided in the tastings by representatives at each. Shawn was helpful in laying out the day’s itinerary, facilitating the group buying lunch, providing boxes for us to take wine home ( he told us Alaska Airline has a “wine flies free“ program!) and then dropping us directly at the hotel with our box ( it was near the pickup place). He was great! We learned a lot about Oregon wineries, the soil, the history and of course developed a more refined palate! It was a great experience- Shaun gave us so much information about Portland - the areas we visited- the salmon. What a great guide - you can tell how he truly loves Portland and how he is willing to share his knowledge of it. - Kelly J2 contributionsWe had an amazing wine tour! The itinerary was perfect, mixing popular vineyards with hidden treasures. Each stop offered unique and memorable tastings.
Our guide was knowledgeable and tailored the tour to our preferences for a wonderful birthday trip. The special touches, like post cards, birthday treat and a beautiful picnic setup, made the day extra special.

- James Y.4 contributionsI booked a tour on Viator (the Mt Hood/Gorge Tour) with Sea to Summit, and I had booked the wrong date by accident. Even though it was a no-refund tour and Viator was adamant that I would not be refunded any amount, I reached out to the company.
Joshua worked on it for days with Viator to get my money refunded (over Labor Day Weekend, no less). He was super communicative, and I was on the phone with him. Sounded like a very honest and professional person. I would use them next time I'm in town and need someone to take us on a tour. Great music! The scenery was spectacular, especially since we had a beautiful day for our trip. Shane made the best picnic lunch too! - California-SLCMission Viejo, CA34 contributionsWe enjoyed a truly excellent day with Sean touring the northern Willamette Valley. We requested our first two stops (Argyle for sparkling wine, which we found somewhat disappointing, and Dundee Bistro for lunch and Ponzi wines, both of which were excellent), but asked Sea to Summit to suggest a place for great pinot noirs. Sean took us to White Rose, which was just fantastic. Next time I would definitely let them make all the choices!!!
What really made the tour, however, was the fascinating commentary from Sean on topics ranging from a history of the Willamette wine region to mushrooming in Oregon. At the end of the tour, we felt we had a much greater appreciation for many facets of this beautiful part of Oregon, not just their wine. From a logistics perspective, Sean was absolutely impeccable--there was great communication on pick up times/locations and he helped us stay on schedule without being overbearing or intrusive. He even spent some of his waiting time helping us track down a wine I'd really enjoyed but was currently out of stock at the Bistro, and contacted me later with a sparkling wine recommendation.
