- Audrey S4 contributionsA fun way to spend a rainy y afternoon. Sampled 5 different flavors of whisky. While I'm not a regular whiskey drinker, it was a fun experience. Knowledgeable employees. Place was crowded.Written 28 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Profe viajeroBend, OR26 contributionsOutstanding attention and expert knowledge and explanation. These folks are truly artists and craftmans. - Kristine KPortland, OR139 contributionsBirthday weekend celebration started here. The infused vodkas are REALLY good. My favorite is Marionberry, but the cucumber and grapefruit gin was also good. It was so good, we're going again today.Written 3 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Donna MSan Diego, CA5 contributionsDid I finally find a whiskey that I like? Yes I did! Infact, I found several! I was recommended this location and I'm so thrilled I visited. The rye whiskey was exceptional and I ended up buying a far amount.Written 27 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PacArgoSalem, OR10 contributionsWe just visited the Freeland Spirits establishment this past weekend and had a delightful time. We arranged to take a guided tour of the on site distillery operations, followed by a sampling of their current distilled spirits. We were impressed by the spirits, the tour, the service, and the vision of a new distillery.
A woman owned business, they specialize in excellent gin and bourbon production, with both tasting, light meals, and product sales available. The tour lasted about 45 minutes, and was exceptional in how it was led, the information provided, knowledge of the staff (Kacee), and overall organization. After the tour, we were able to sample a selection of their spirits, which resulted in our purchasing some bottles to take home.
All in all, Freeland Spirits offers an excellent tour, outstanding service, and fine spirits. An excellent start to a relatively new distiller making a name in the Pacific Northwest. We will be back!Written 3 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. If you all get a flight, you can taste a wide variety of brandies & liquors and a limited number of whiskies. Anything from sweet to more unusual tastes.
A bonus is that most of the ingredients are locally sourced or at least sourced in the Pacific Northwest.
The distiller conducted the tasting. He was clearly knowledgeable & was articulate in explaining the various tastes & recommending the order in which to taste them.
If you can’t find something you like here, I don’t know what WOULD please you.
It’s a smaller place & a little out of the way, but WELL worth a visit.Written 12 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You have to walk inside a building and walk down a hall. They are part of the distillery passport which makes your 3 tastings free. They serve mini cocktails. The aquavit was different from my usual spirits. The coffee spirit was a good mix. Strong spirits. It’s family owned so they take pride in what they do.Written 22 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Staff was terrific as were their whiskies

It was delicious, elegant, and almost too pretty to drink. They have a nice selection of Stroudwater Distillery merchandise, especially t-shirts. The service was friendly, the tasting room is tastefully (no pun intended) decorated, and the cocktail prices are reasonable, especially for the quality ingredients and presentation.Written 30 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - smartymarty111Alberta, Canada79 contributionsIf you like gin, don’t miss Aria.
The tasting included their gin as well as some mixed drinks.
It’s a small tasting room, so a very personal experience. Small shop so you can get some mixers and accessories as well.Written 14 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We had their sampler flight tonight with gin, bourbon whiskey and festive Cider & Spice cocktail (Aimsir Bourbon, apple cider, and cooking spices.) We also sampled the gin that is being made from Willamette Valley wine.
Their gin and whiskey are stunning!! The gin is amazingly aromatic, smooth and incredibly flavorful. The fresh botanicals and citrus give it a beautiful, crisp finish making it versatile for mixing or making it the It perfect sipping gin on the rocks or straight and an exquisite cocktail gin. The whiskey was very smooth, flavorful and goes down way too easily. I'm excited to continue to experience it as it ages in the barrel. They sell full-sized (750 ml) & smaller-sized (200 ml) bottles of each.
Their years of planning and attention to every detail have made the distillery a earned them the honor of being a well sought after destination to just experience the beauty of the tasting room. Every detail of the place is exquisite! This place is absolutely gorgeous. The light fixtures alone are pieces of art!
They also offer to-go food with sustainably prepared delicious food!
The tasting room showcases a beautiful Art Deco design that welcomes you to come sit down, relax and enjoy time with friends. I'm in awe of the beauty & detail of this place. I am so excited to see this place bustling once we get through this pandemic!
