I live on the California coast but love to go inland to camp on the Rogue River, There is a great Oregon State park called Valley of the Rogue off of I-5 that has a few miles of walking/biking trails, and has fun yurts to camp in. Then there are several Josephine County parks that have camping on the river, some with yurts available. The county parks are not as nice as the state park, but if you are into camping and nature they are a great value. Southern Oregon is a great place to get outside, there is a lot to do for all ages and abilities. Medford and Grants Pass are super places to visit, you really need a month to see even half of it!

My family and I hiked Upper Table Rock and the views definitely pay off! You are hiking straight up for about an hour, but once you get to the top and the trees clear, it's worth it to be able to see the entire view of the surrounding area.

Lovely setting, excellent food and good wine, make a perfect recipe for a lovely evening.
To top it off, there’s excellent dessert and it’s not as expensive as other nearby places.

I got some amazing pictures and video from this location. The majesty of Divine creation can be felt here, despite being right near the bridge. Not a spot for someone terrified of heights, but definitely worth the view if you can muster the courage!

We love the railroad park. All ages can enjoy it. They are open to the public on a limited basis. Most all the times we have been there are for a private party or gathering. We went to a church BBQ there on Saturday where there were probably 200 people in attendance. They are also a great activity for Birthday parties or family reunions.
They have multiple scale trains to be seen. There is a great train ride that our kids ride almost nonstop while we are there.
The clubs are super friendly and love trains.

We just stopped off here which is about 20 mins from Crater Lake.
Nice little stop and it was nice to see locals just fishing and enjoying the peaceful lake.

We were out wine tasting on a hot day and stopped here for a good sip and we even bought 2 bottles. Friendly staff. Pretty landscape in the Rogue Valley.

We discovered EdenVale because they are ‘Harvest Hosts’ and will accommodate an overnight RV stay for Harvest Host members. This review is for both the winery and the Harvest Host experience…

EdenVale Winery is a 5 star Harvest Host experience that RVers will love. Note: in wet weather, which is often in these parts, you’ll be very happy to have four wheel drive. The grassy field alongside the pear orchard where you’ll park your RV is, well, a grassy field. The setting is quiet and bucolic and a short stroll to the main house and nearby tasting room.

    The wine tasting experience:
The staff (Emily, Jenny, Nino) immediately made us feel relaxed and genuinely welcomed. The white and red wines and warm ciders were delicious.

We order the Charcuterie Plate: Served with crostini and fresh bread. Delicious!

So many have commented on the interesting history, beauty and ambiance of this place and we echo those impressions. All in all, we feel very grateful to have experienced EdenVale and hope to visit again and often.

The tasting room is in a huge old barn with the most beautiful old wood floors I've ever seen. We had the flight of 3 wines (you get to choose from their selection of about 8 wines up on the board) for $7. You can also get a flight of 5 wines for $10 or individual wines by the glass. We got there about 6:30 pm -- they close at 7 -- but there were still plenty of people, and the wine pourers were quite happy to serve us. Way more fun than a bar. The wines were good, not great, but who cares?! Everyone was in a great mood and the ambiance was friendly with just the right amount of trendy. Not snooty or intimidating like some wine tasting rooms I've been to. At 7:00 we were still talking and sipping, but no one kicked us out. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it would be hard to imagine not having a good time here.

Walkabout has a huge picnic chill area in back. It’s the only place in town like this. Great Beer and pizza. What more could you ask for? Family friendly. Dog friendly.

I live very near the park and am constantly traveling through it. I find it relaxing and particularly like riding my bike along the well kept bike lanes.
