- friendofmitziNew Orleans, LA332 contributionsInitially, we had not planned to visit here, but my husband wanted to see the Hudson. I am so glad that we stopped and walked. It was a beautiful fall afternoon. There were lots of walkers, bikers, and dogs. Obviously, this is a well travelled spot for those who live in the area and are looking to exercise. There was plenty of room for all. We found benches about 2/3s of the way to Poughkeepsie and sat for awhile. There are lots of trails to take from this park, but we had a day of walking and just wanted the views. We highly recommend this walkway.Written 30 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DanielandJocelynStony Point, NY129 contributionsApple orchard with pumpkin patch, snack bar and tavern. Cider and cider donuts are plenty. There's a play area with shed-type structures, hayrides. it's one of the smaller businesses of this type in the area, but one of the nicer ones. Everything is clean and organized. On Saturday they open at 10am. By 11am, parking was >50%. We paid around $32 for two pumpkins weighing a total of around 40lbs... 70 cents/pound? *Please correct me if I'm too far off.

The colors are glorious traveling east to west as tree leaves change color. I recently came to appreciate the bridge also when walking across, coming from the Walkway over the Hudson.Written 26 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alexandria CAurora, CO31 contributionsThis place is gorgeous! I was here for a wedding. If you're looking for a nice wedding venue with gorgeous views, this is the place! There was a very pretty apple orchard. Their outdoor eating area was very clean and spacious. Their bathrooms were clean! The staff was great and attentive. My husband and I don't drink alcohol so we ordered non-alcoholic apple cider - very good! I really enjoyed being here.Written 14 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Howard SAlbany, NY847 contributionsA relatively small state park with no amenities, e.g, bathrooms or picnic area, and limited parking, but there are 2.5 miles of hiking trails with a scenic overlook of the Hudson toward Poughkeepsie. The park is named for Franny Reese who dedicated much of her life to protecting the Hudson Valley’s natural and historic treasures.
When I went to this park, it was a hot, humid, August day and the trail through the woods was rather buggy so I an glad I used insect repellant. NYS Parks advises to be on the alert for deer ticks which are a problem in this park.Written 12 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The debris piles were a bit off putting. This is off the beaten path and very twisty road from the town of Highland. Maybe ok for a stop with friends for a picnic. A bit desolate.Written 7 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- cheryl hDurham, NC57 989 contributionsThis is a small memorial park for the local men lost in Vietnam. We came across it and decided to go pick up a take-out lunch and eat it there. We had a great view of the Hudson River and even with all the cars on the bridge, it was still quiet and peaceful. It would also make a good place to pull off just to stretch your legs on a long trip.Written 5 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kathy CWorcester, MA224 contributionsThe staff is so friendly here. The course is among apple trees and just a lovely golf course. Reasonably priced food and beer and the club house staff was pleasant. It would be tough to lose a lot of balls on this course.Written 26 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CrystalHighland, NY11 contributionsThis is the cutest little shop. I went in more than once already and I purchased holiday gifts, a sweater for myself, some little things and it was a fun experience. The person behind the counter was so nice and constantly smiling. I left there smiling with some good deals. Thumbs up. I will be back again and again.Written 7 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
