My Wife and I had an awesome time. Even when my sea sickness I somehow managed haha. Got to see some Penguins on our way to the shark spot. Once we got to our designation we were Up and Close we the bronze whaler sharks and even a couple of seals which was awesome to see them swimming together. The Crew were absolutely outstanding / very professional and went above and beyond for taking care of us so big props to them. Also very informative and you learn quite a bit.
Fair Warning you will most likely NOT see any Great whites due to the Orcas. Thanks for the great memories.

    - It was very well organized and even provided a weathercoat/raincoat which was very welcomed.
    - Fairly crowded on the boat. It wasn´t horrible but it was sometimes uncomfortable when suddenly a bunch of individuals crowded over to watch. That said, the crew did their best to distribute us.
    - We spent a third of the time chasing a bryde whale and once we managed to get a good view of it, we continue chasing it for a bit longer. On the one hand, not sure the whale would be very happy being chased non-stop. On the other hand, I reckon once we had the clear view we could´ve continued the trip trying to find new sea creatures.
    - The guide provided many interesting facts and the crew was nice and knowledgeable.

Had a really good time. Saw plenty of sharks and made great memories. Felt safe and secure in the boat the whole time, like everyone had been doing this for years. I recommend doing the hookah dive, it allows you to sit under the water and wait for the sharks to swim by.

Wow! What an amazing experience! We have a school of 7 bronze whaler shark with us the whole time. I loved using the air supply so I didn’t have to bob up and down the whole time. Everyone got about 20 minutes in the cage with sharks around the whole time!

It was a beautiful day, nice weather. The waves weren't that shaky ;-)
Dolphins came past the boat, penguins were swimming nicely. The seals were enjoying themselves on their rocks.
Although the whale season was already over, we were still very very lucky to spot some whales.
Last but not least we saw how the sharks were fed, which are very impressive animals.

The staff were so kind, warm and welcoming. Their attitude truly made the adventure a memorable one. The adventure was informative about the current situation of sharks which I did not know and now is in the front and centre of my thoughts.

Currently there seem to be more southern Right hanging out at Gansbaai, than in neighbouring Hermanus, which is why we chose Ivanhoe whale watch . We were lucky enough to soon find Mum and calf , who came so close to the boat, you could feel the spray of the blow. We’re able to watch them for a fair while, and get some great footage. Saw quite a few other whales too. We’d certainly use Ivanhoe again .

A fantastic boat trip. We were fortunate to see four of the big five, and thought the service and attentiveness of all the crew members was outstanding. We appreciated the commentary from the marine biologist who was a mine of interesting information.
A particular highlight was the 20 minutes we spent with a mother and calf Southern Right whale, who put on a great performance, getting up close to the boat on a number of occasions. The seal colony off Dyer Island didn't disappoint either!

We felt very safe as it's clear that the company takes safety very seriously, and ensured we were fully briefed before the trip, as well as provided with life jackets and optional water proof jackets. There was also storage on the boat for our personal belongings, to ensure they didn't get wet or slip overboard.

The coffee and muffin before the trip, as well as the soup and freshly backed breadroll at the end of the trip, were both very nice touches, which helped stave off the hunger after an early start. All in all a very worthwhile experience which we'd highly recommend.

Great trip today, excellent safety briefing (shame all the guests didn’t listen), advised from the outset we might only see birds & seals and we did. Unfortunately there was a technical glitch but the great crew kept everyone informed & got everyone back in safely. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience, we saw many sharks and the crew was excellent! Very helpful, kind, taking all the safety rules. They told us many informations about the sharks so we leaned things except from the experience itself, they really care about the sharks and i appreciated it very much. Thank you very much guys!! I was really enjoyed this experience with you and i am sure that also the others did, it was, without doubt, worth it and i would recommend averyone to join this team and live this experience because it will be something that will never forget!!

It takes about 10 minutes to go out to the fishing grounds. You wear wetsuits and you will spend 20 minutes in a cage. The total tour is about two hours. They will feed the sharks and you’ll get close to them. We saw also stingray and an otter, and about 16 sharks. Almost touchable. It was a nice experience.

A wonderful trip, a couple of hours outside Cape Town. It is the best spot for seeing sharks, although Great Whites not as common as they once were - rumours that Orcas have seen them off in recent years. The boat was crowded, but everyone got at least one chance to descend into the cage. Water clarity wasn't brilliant on the day, but we got up close to six or seven bronze whaler sharks, so had clear views. The crew were very good and knew their stuff, so made the most of the conditions. Onboard equipment was clean and in good condition, which made the colder-than-usual water a comfortable experience. An exciting day, not to be missed.
