What travellers are saying
- MicheleCrawley, UK322 contributionsStopped here enroute from Hermanus to Strusbaaai on our garden route tour. We followed google maps to the walker bay reserve - there are two entrances for the cave system. One sign was a lot further up and I believe you visit multiple caves before ending in the large boardwalk cave.
However, we didn’t want a long walk, so we drove up to the end part (as per google maps) and paid the car entrance fee on the gate. As we drove into the car park it was completly empty! There are some toilets to the left if needed. We followed the stairs down to the shore and walked the boardwalk to the start of the rocks. Some climbing is needed and I don’t think it’s for the faint hearted as the sea is coming in!! However, we are both quite unfit and we’re fine ☺️
When you go into the first cave it’s lovely, but go through the back of it and you’ll enter the massive cave with board walks and signs explaining the history. It was simply stunning and highly recommend!!Written 19 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A very worthwhile cause to support while in the area - have a cup of coffee and a chat - the staff are incredibly knowledgeable about the penguins. - Nick RSalisbury, UK5 contributionsSarah and her team combine a well organised and professional operation, with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The horses are very well cared for, excellently trained, and there is a horse for every skill level, combined with the supervision and support from Sarah & team to match. The experience itself – riding on the beautiful Pearly Beach – is second to none and a massive highlight of our trips to South Africa. We've been three times now and will keep coming back every time we are in the Western Cape. A "must do" experience.Written 3 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Guide388897598311 contributionThe experience couldn't be better and the team is second to none; they make you feel safe and enthusiastic about the activity at all times. My expectations changed completely during the activity making it even better, the team guided, helped and advised us at all times so that we only had to focus on enjoying the experience and the sharks. It was also quite educational about what we were doing and what we were seeing. The views of the sharks underwater could not be more spectacular and it is highly recommended to take the opportunity if you are in or around Cape Town. Totally recommended.Written 28 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RachelOliveiraLondon, UK40 contributionsWe had an exceptional experience on the Marine Big 5 tour, where we had the pleasure of spotting seals, whales, and penguins. As with any safari, sightings can vary, but the team made the effort to show us as many animals as possible while keeping us well-informed throughout. We were particularly impressed by the company's commitment to penguin conservation. Visiting their center to see the penguins being fed and swimming was incredible!Written 25 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
