What travellers are saying
- Peter199 contributionsGorgeous, easy drive. Take it slow, because you want to soak this up. And there are baboons who run across the road without warning!Written 31 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Supa7WPCape Town, South Africa155 contributionsRyno & his staff worked with our small petrolhead group to give us a second chance to drive the awesome Tradouw pass after a quick coffee break and pre-ordering of our pizzas. On return the wonderful sourdough based pizzas appeared 3 at a time washed down by some of the best home brew that everyone remarked was top class . A hidden gem in Barrydale.Written 19 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- SugaNana7 contributionsWow! What these Magpies do is simply magical. And everything created with recycled, reclaimed and repurposed materials and the imagination of these artists! Who'd have thought such beauty could come from stuff people discard? Go and see...Written 19 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- katebirchen0ughHaslemere, UK26 contributionsWe ate here whilst travelling the Garden Route. It was a bit of a surprise but we had the best Pizza on our trip and when I asked why the breadsticks were taking so long to come I was told that they were being made by hand!! Oozing with garlic butter ...... delicious plus an extraordinarily cheap bottle of cold white wine. As a matter of interest The Cellar really only deals in port and brandy!!Written 7 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ncock83121595 contributionsFantastic looking building. Lovely photographs to be taken unfortunately church closed for photos would have loved to hear the historyWritten 24 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- PieterCape Town, South Africa816 contributionsIts worthwhile to take a drive from Cape Town to see this place. I have traveled to most Africa countries and have studied Africa religion and philosophy, but have never found a place that is so rich in history and such a fast collection of artifacts and handycrafts. Hardy's knowledge, humour and enthusiasm makes the place come alive. It truly an amazing experienceWritten 16 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ursula68 contributionsWe heard about the stop in the middle of nowhere and we had a good laugh! Also put our names in the hall of fame of visitors that stopped at Ronnie’s Sex Shop!Written 4 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Daleen MKnysna, South Africa24 contributionsWeekend away with family and friends.
Stayed in tents while other stayed in the houses.
Food is great, service is fast and good.
Prices are not to bad.
Nothing much to do at the place it self. But the drive to the town is not to far, great food and shops in town.
Evening at Karoo Saloon is relaxed and great music while enjoying food and drinks.Written 15 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Theo K3 contributionsIf one goes to the House of Books and your time is limited, Anton will help you find a specific item. If you want to treat yourself as a book lover - go there when you are not in a hurry. The journey of non-directed reading of a vast variety books organized as themes per room surprises me every time.Written 11 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
