We found great results, but some are outside Lincoln. Showing results in neighbouring cities.
Limit search to Lincoln.
Lincoln State Monument
#1 of 3 Sights & Landmarks in Lincoln
The State of New Mexico operates the historic site which extends about a half mile from the Anderson-Freeman Visitor Center and Museum on the east end to the Courthouse Museum on the western end.
About a quarter mile stretch for a nice walk seeing historic homes, stores, sites as noted in Billy the Kid's history in this area.
Monjeau Lookout
#2 of 3 Sights & Landmarks in Lincoln
If you're good with rough, bumpy, sometimes steep roads for a great view and nice nature spot - this is it!
It was still so much fun to drive up the steep roads and walk up the huge rock steps to view the area from the lookout.

#1 of 1 Sights & Landmarks in Fort Stanton
In my opinion, the State of New Mexico does a great job showcasing their Historic Sites and this site and the Lincoln Historic Site just seven miles away are two of my favorites.
We really enjoyed our stop at the Fort Stanton Historical Site and Museum.
