    Great, but we expected more
    Perhaps we expected too much after all those rave reviews and being the only wine estate we visited, but we were underwhelmed. Anyway: in absolute: we loved it! The gardens, the restaurant and the wine tasting, although the ones we tried weren't exactly my - well - my cup of tea.

    Fabulous Wine Tasting Experience
    Fantastic experience at the Lourensford vineyard…far & away the best wine tasting experience in South Africa…Kyle’s enthusiasm & expertise made it a fantastic experience…would thoroughly recommend & the wines are superb

    What a beautiful view
    Beautiful winefarm, good restaurant, nice service , easy parking
    I specially recommend the risotto: it was made of italian sausage andcred wine.

    Wine tasting in a Beautiful spot.
    A beautiful and unique place. We did a wine tasting.
    Nice place, with a beautiful view and delicious wines. I recommend.

    This one is red!
    Great wines as always, but a tasting is always about the guy pouring the wine. Our guy had memorized the tasting notes, but that is where it ended, no knowledge, no enthusiasm for the wines, just here you go, next wine. We will be back because we love the wines, but they need better people.

    Excellent wine
    Stunning views of the mountains and ocean. Award winning wines served on European airlines business class made by a Swiss-Afrikaner couple. Absolutely get yourself some of their wines.

    Out of the way gem
    We booked a wine tasting at Journey's End because friends had organised a charity event in the UK featuring the wines and we were double booked so could not attend. This was the next best thing. Mike the winemaker, gave us detailed instructions on how to reach the vineyard, the name is the clue, it is accessed up a shaky track but you are rewarded with lovely views and a sense of remoteness. This is very much a working vineyard (tastings by appointment) and we were pleased that Mike gave us so much of his time, explaining the background, the wines, and generally being engaging. We were so pleased we went out of our way to visit JE and wish everyone there happy winekmaking!

    Lazy Afternoon at a wine farm
    Ummmmm. a bit of a mixed reception here. The food as always is amazing at the welcome warm but I think we had a trainee waitron so the menu knowledge and service ability was lacking. Nonetheless still a great experience. Wine have become pricy.
