What travellers are saying
- Chris de Witt1 contributionMartin was very accommodating and gave us an inspiring personal viewing of the photographic art that he and his daughter Sam are creating. Their work is visually impressive and often intriguing;it would be hard to imagine anyone not being drawn in by it. Martin's commentary was patient and interesting. He is someone who knows the various layers of his craft and is able to convey it well.Written 8 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jeanne du BoisHout Bay, South Africa1 contributionI have visited Maik's interesting fine selection of works a couple of times, always greeted with a welcoming smile and a offer of coffee. Maik's eye and knowledge for investment art have always impressed me, how he is able to spot the next generation of investment artists. The South African art industry need more such refreshingly honest curator/ art collectors. I'm proud to be associated with such a curator/ space!Written 5 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- SAtravelgalChicago, IL3 contributionsThis workshop/studio is a wonderful example of both community outreach and amazingly creative art using recycled tea-bags, tags, boxes and even the tea. It was a thriving establishment that was devastated by Covid. All the artisans were laid off as the founder was unable to sustain the business. When we stopped by there today (first time visit), three artists had been hired back as of October 1. It is apparently in a much smaller space than before and shares the building with other art exhibitors. I agree that it is impossible to leave without purchasing something in your price range. Beautiful coasters, tea trays, drinking glasses and gift bags to name just a few of the items in the store. Definitely a must visit to support the incredible work being done here and enable more artisans to be re-employed. When you go, take your used teabags and tags, preferably dried out. I was told that they accept and welcome teabags from all over the world and I will be sure to remember that when I return to Cape Town next time. Don't miss this place.Written 3 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- wil HSaint-Brieuc, France127 contributionsLots of nice items in the Shop. However, employees are not at all traders!
I went 3 times in a week, buying for more than R3500 of gifts and the employee didn’t want to make a discount neither offer a mounting bracket which was R35...because her boss was not there!!!
Very bad manners to act with a client, I won’t come back.Written 24 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
