We had the opportunity to visit a beautiful state park campground near St. Louis.... located in Wildwood Mo , Dr Edward A Babler Memorial State Park provided us with a site to remember, water and electricity.
They have a theater which has two shows to choose from; one is about the bears in Missouri and the other is the history of Babler State Park.

My favorite is the GreenRock trail-- a 12 mile trail that goes through Rockwood Reserve and Greenfelder Park and ends up near Six Flags.

Heading east on the Al Foster Trail to Stinging Nettles, and then onto some exploration of nearby Castlewood Park will provide even the most cynical rider with a full day of adventure, and serious fun in the saddle.

Sherman beach (really a gravel bar) is near the other end of the trail and is a great gathering place to take in nature.

This is a relatively new city park that has a great play area with slides, swings, climbing stuff for kids, a a large pavilion.
They even have a dog park area, shelter for large group parties, restrooms, and a walking trail through a creek.
