#1 of 6 Museums in Greenville
Anyone who has read John Barry's outstanding history of the 1927 Flood will be fascinated by what's in this gem of a museum.
I had a chance to stop here as my host kept mentioning the Flood museum.
#2 of 6 Museums in Greenville
The staff are fantastic and passionate about their museum.
Most of the items are individual collections who have shared them with the museum.
#3 of 6 Museums in Greenville
The museum portion of our visit was awesome but as an artist the stained glass windows in the Temple and the ones in the Museum section were absolutely fascinating to me.
Not sure how they have the funds to keep it open .. People were friendly and Benji is the historian of the temple as well as two other museums in Greenville.
Jim Henson Exhibit Leland 13.7 km away
#1 of 3 Museums in Leland
You should definitely visit this museum, and Mississippi's BBKing Museum (fabulous; stay several hours) and the Grammy Museum (only one of its kind in this part of the country).
A small museum for all ages in Leland, Mississippi houses so many important memories of the great Jim Henson.
Highway 61 Blues Museum Leland 13.1 km away
#2 of 3 Museums in Leland
There are several larger and more technologically advanced blues museums in the Mississippi Delta, but the Highway 61 Blues Museum in Leland is special.
As a number of other reviewers have explained, Pat Thomas, son of James 'Son' Thomas, still lives in Leland and comes to the museum most days, playing and singing and sharing stories.
