What travellers are saying
- gary sCharlotte, NC5 contributionsWe planned a day trip from Bay Harbor to Sleeping Bear Dunes. It is over a 2 hour drive, and thought a midway stop would help make the trip bearable for a 5 and 8 year old.
We quite honestly did not expect much. We were we pleasantly surprised. They have a amazing array of exptic and unusual butterflys and bugs (just like the name says). The kids were thoroughly entertained, as was I. The staff truly loves their bugs...they don't just phone it in. It was entertaining, and we stopped on our way back for another visit (which is included).Written 15 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A special thanks to Voss for spending so much time explaining the stories behind a lot of the items on display and sharing so much of his families history. This place is one my list of stops every time I'm in the area.Written 7 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - D5896QUjamescDetroit, MI8 contributionsClose by, just north of Traverse City, beautiful nature area with miles of well marked trails for summer and winter fun. Have hiked, snowshoed and explored many times.Written 28 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- LkmannVine Grove, KY226 contributionsWe really enjoyed our picking experience here. They provided buckets and if you wanted one, you could have a neck harness to hold the bucket, keeping your hands free. There were people to let you know where the cherries were more available and hadn't been as picked. They had their rows labled so you knew what kind of cherry you were picking. They also had ladders to get up in the trees. The cherries were delicious! Loved the buckets and handy handled boxes for taking home. The prices are good too.Written 29 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- johncE7357MTTraverse City, MI38 contributionsTerrific cider and friendly staff. If you go on Sundays, you'll meet our favorite server at the cider bar, Tammi. She's highly knowledgeable and super nice.Written 12 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ken kOnsted, MI1 167 contributionsThis is a nice casino 1/2 hour from Traverse City. It was clean. They have shuttles in the parking lot. If you need help. They have restaurants and deli and gift shop. The slots were on the tight side. I broke even and my wife lost. I’d come again.Written 9 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BigVSavannah, GA176 contributionsExcellent Golf Course if a bit hard. Not lose golf balls hard, just very challenging, not for a novice.
Dinner is quite good afterward with excellent wine list and unobtrusive knowledgeable staff giving service even with a large party going on outside.Written 29 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sally STraverse City, MI41 contributionsWhen Dominic Fortuna and staff take the stage, you'll think it was 1950 all over again. The singing, dancing and audience participation will long be remembered. The dinner usually consists of a small choice ( like one out of three) items and you have to tell them in advance of the show. The dinner itself is nicely served by the entertainers, and very good tasting. If you have a chance... Go... It's worth while.Written 27 May 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RICART75Peru, IN2 185 contributionsThis is a nicely maintained thrift store, with a wide variety of items to browse and explore.
The staff were friendly and accommodating.
We were particularly pleased with the selection of books from which to choose.
And, at 4 for a $1 (all books, both hardback & paperback), we left with a couple of unexpected boxes accompanying us for the rest of our trip.Written 22 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
