Such a beautiful view and fun being in the rocks. My family had fun jumping off the black rocks, but the water is beyond cold.

This path was very nice, but lots of steps. However, once you reach the top you will be so glad you made the climb. The view is absolutely breathtaking!

We love this place! It is a walking (or driving) trail with sculptures created by the owner and some cohorts. Each has a story or message and some sculptures are political in essence. We enjoyed each one and completed the 0.5 mile trail in less than 20 minutes. Entry is free and donations are accepted at the front gate.

When we return, I am sure we will visit again!

The waterfalls were very pretty, but not huge. The path is very difficult to follow and we actually ended up on the other side of the road once we got back to the parking lot and had to climb over a fence. Also the mosquitoes were terrible!! That being said we love hiking and the falls were very pretty, so if you’re ok with sketchy paths and mosquitoes you’ll love it too.

Beautiful views of Lake Superior, plentiful choices for restaurants and lodging. After hours in the car, this city is great to park and walk all over. Beautifully preserved older architecture houses restaurants and shops.

The red lighthouse really pops with the green foliage and blue waters. I took photos of all angles of the lighthouse and when the sun is behind you, it really sets off the colors. We were there in June and the lilacs were in full bloom and it really made for some great pictures. Unfortunately, we did not have time for a tour of the light. I did end up walking around for half an hour taking pictures though!

This introvert had a blast last weekend during Music on 3rd where we spent most of the evening at BrB. Loved the Honey Lav brew and the energy of the crowd out back with the band. And then up on the upper terrace out front we went to finish our beers under the breeze. No visit to Marquette is complete without stopping in.

Rode from downtown Marquette to Negaunee, about 13 miles out. Beautiful ride with stunning fall colors. You'll have a long slow gradual climb out of downtown, maybe 7 miles or so of gentle uphill. Then another 6 miles of gentle up and down. Mostly paved or crushed gravel. Mining history/ points of interest along the way. Cute bakery in Negaunee for coffee / sandwiches / cookies. The payoff is riding back to Marquette you can almost coast that last 7 miles.

The largest wood dome in the USA. Who knew? Free to the public to see. Students on site are helpful tour guides. It is an engineering marvel. Football. Track, and lacrosse are sports played in the dome.

The six of us (2 grandparents, two parents and two children 2 & 4) visited on a Friday afternoon and had a great time. $25.00 charge for all of us. We spent three hours there and had plenty of hands on happiness by all.

I enjoyed this hike to see Morgan Falls. Take 553 south from Marquette. There is an area to pull off/park on the west side of the road, just before you reach the ski resort. The hike is a gravel/dirt road (Marquette Mountain Road).

The falls are about 1.5 miles down the road and there is a sign when you've reached the correct trail. Mountain bike trails crisscross the dirt road.

The falls are easy to reach and see. I enjoyed the quietness of the forest on this adventure.

Big beautiful place with lots of inside and outside seating. Great ambience and bartenders. Something for everyone. Very unique beer/flight menu that includes a cider. We will be back, worth a visit for sure.

This is a small museum but gives all the history on the area, going back thousands of years. There was a special exhibit on recreation in the area, which we found interesting. We found it well worth our time.
