Gr. Haven State Park has a great pier to walk on, the beach is kept very clean by the workers at the park, and the shoreline offers a great sunset.
Lake Michigan is wonderful and visiting a Grand Haven State Park is the best place to see it.

Amazing park! Beautifully maintained, lots of stairs but easy to climb with rails!
This park (fee but can use pass all day to use at other parks) has wonderful hiking trails some through pine forests and a path that leads to lake Michigan.

The Boardwalk and adjoining park areas are great for a stroll or to enjoy the Musical Fountain in the evening.
My daughter and I walked from Washington Avenue all the way to the beach at Grand Haven State Park.

There is lots of parking in a lot shared with the Y and the surrounding park is very nice as well.

The park is very clean with plenty of shade trees, ample seating, restrooms and vendors including Pronto Pup close by :) If you haven't had a Pronto Pup breaded hot dog on a stick, just do it!!!
Really nice park and information marquees about the history of the Coast Guard in this area.
