Great place, safe, well maintained. Nice pretty much any time of year. Went during daytime and loved it

Was a fun visit; views were great. You do need to walk pretty steep hill to get up to it. Neat little piece of history. You can walk through the stone sections but it’s open ruins. The architecture is worth the hike.

If you want to get yelled at or accosted by a street person, or just try and drive past it but get blocked by all the illegal taxi and drop off violators, this is just the place to go. Even better it is connected to the even crappier bus terminal where you can up your game on being accosted by a drug addict or pan handler. Keep an eye out for the constant J-walkers. Dont waste your time looking for security or police, they avoid this place at all cost.

It is always a treat to visit this field to watch my son play ball. Easy parking, very clean facility. There are even some shaded areas for those who are sun sensitive. A great place for families to enjoy baseball.

Very interesting presentation by the friendly, knowledgeable guide. Small group allowed for conversation and questions. Our guide provided information about the history of Worcester as well as many facts about one of its most prominent families. I highly recommend this tour.

The Green Hill Park Farm is small but it is a nice way to teach children about where food comes from.

I went to Polar Park with a bus group. The ballpark is beautiful, with good sight lines. Park is only a few years old, so facilities are very good and clean. But concession prices are high. Beer is $14 and one slice of pizza costs $9+. Ticket prices are modest, much lower than major league games, such as at Fenway Park. Good talent on the WooSox team, some future Major League stars. Worth the trip.

Great memorial to a forgotten war. You can buy a brick with your veterans name on it. Parking directly in front of it.

Nice piece of turn of the 20th Century kitsch. Read the Wikipedia entry for both the official story of the sculpture and to find out why college students think it's funny! Not worth a special trip, but if you are in Worcester, don't miss it.

This statue is a beautiful work of art. To me it expresses the freedom of childlike innocence at play.

We really drove to the Worcester Common to see the "Burnside Fountain". While there, I glimpsed a monument several feet away, and walked over to check it out. The Southwest Asia War Memorial, designated in 1993 and constructed in the City of Worcester is the official Massachusetts State monument for the Veterans of the Southwest Asia War. This monument on the Worcester Common is in memory of those who gave their lives in the Desert Shield/Desert Storm conflict.

I called over to our son, who served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm, (straight out of UCLA) and he and my husband walked over. We were all quite impressed. First, this is the very first such memorial monument we have seen anywhere, and second, it is very nicely done. We were not even aware it was there.

The monument consists of a larger standing monument and a lower tablet, which bears the words, "THE OFFICIAL STATE MONUMENT FOR VETERANS OF THE SOUTHWEST ASIA WAR". On the back, nine names are listed under the title "Honor Roll".

This Memorial is well taken care of.
