What travellers are saying
- Heddy GMalvern, PA582 contributionsReally fun, easy to do hike, takes you along shore line and thru wooded areas. Plenty of paved trail and lots of bathrooms available along the way.Written 1 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Madeleine O58 contributionsThis is our go to stop on the way to the Baybridge. The beer is great, and the food is delicious. Very fun atmosphere, and the bartenders were incredibly friendly, even bringing out a special water bowl and slices of cheese for our dogs. Definitely recommend!Written 14 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- onevagentCharlottesville, VA257 contributionsVisited this winery with another couple. The setting was beautiful, overlooking a body of water. The wines were very good and our server was the owner and winemaker, which is always a plus. We had a bottle of Viognier and of Merlot, both of which were very good. If you ever have a chance to visit Kent Island, a visit to Mark Cascis Vineyards is recommended.Written 19 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kdp43Germantown, TN336 contributionsThis is a typical consignment shop. Lots of stuff everywhere. Not nearly as open as in the picture. The saleslady is very nice.Written 11 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- COTraveller33Silver Spring, MD3 409 contributionsSo - get there early....
parking on the beach side can run all the way down the street and to the main road.
parking near the pier - good luck.
bathrooms / trash cans near the fishing pier are disgusting...
Now for the good part....
Long pier - friendly people on the pier. No one was catching anything when we were there, but the tides do decide.
Pier definitely needs some general cleaning, and when is says 2 poles per person. Don't be 'that guy' and fish 4 or more. Just a D#@$ move.
The beach is small. No current. No waves. No deep at all. Great for little kids.
But the strip of sand is petite. Like super small. Like one family per section of beach front. Also, it's dog friendly, and although there is "supposed" to be a separate area for dogs. A lot of dog owners are like those fishermen who fish 4 poles at once. Still can't get how discourteous some people are.
Parking: beach side free - paved. bring a wagon to cart you beach gear down. pier side - $10 IF you can find it.
People: Very interesting mix
Food: not that we could see
Bathrooms: Go elsewhere
Would recommend: Sure. go check it out
Would re-patronize: Probably not.Written 11 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
