What travellers are saying
- TAMMY H15 contributionsThe red trail is the easiest trek to the beach. It is still almost 2 miles and does have a little rough terrain. The hike is through wetlands which was surprising to us. I'm sure later in the year bug spray would be a must. If you are searching for sharks teeth I would recommend taking a sifter or screen. It's not necessarily a lay on the beach type of place, more of an adventure. There are a couple of picnic tables. We enjoyed seeing the wetlands and the interesting cliffs. It's a shame you can't look for fossils in front of the cliffs any longer.Written 17 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - barbara mRound Hill, VA143 contributionsEntry fee was $15 for out of state. I have a handicapped placard so was able to get very close to the beach. We arrived at 8:45 and gates opened at 9. After a short walk we arrived at an empty (for an hour) nice large sandy beach. Lots of real small rocks and shells. Sign at entrance warned of jellyfish and there were-small but evident enough to scare the kids away from going too far into the water. We did not find any shark teeth. We were there about 2 hours then decided to go to Calvert Cliffs State Park. Nice bathrooms and showers/foot wash at the beach; bathrooms inside the gate entrance.Written 9 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Charlestongirl1970Fredericksburg, VA4 contributionsGirl Trip....great place for a bit of relaxation and down time. The property is nicely appointed for a casual getaway. Nice porch to sit, talk and feel the breeze of the sea.
The house has two fully set up bedrooms, with bed sheets and comforter, tv and chair, on the 2nd and 3rd floors. A full kitchen for cooking and small living room with tv. Grocery stores and eateries are 10-15 minutes away, with other options about 25-30 minutes away. The cliffs on the beach are spectacular. Our adventure options are just miles away. Plan accordingly.Written 19 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Scott L1 contributionInsanely cramped tasting room in contrast to a large number of wines, many very nice and all affordably priced. We picked up a case in spring and have been enjoying it since except for the two bottles of 2016 Cabernet Franc that spoiled. One blew out the stopper that I put in after opening the bottle and pouring out two sour glasses.Written 12 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - podrozniczka60New Jersey17 215 contributionsNice local church, make note of it while driving by. Typical sacral architecture. Seems to be an active congregation.Written 30 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- podrozniczka60New Jersey17 215 contributionsQuite pretty, small, active church. It seems to represent a very typical example of American sacral architecture. Drive by to see it if you have extra time in Lusby.Written 30 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Frank B1 contributionI have had the pleasure of visiting a variety of "cigar bars," but many focus WAY too much on the BAR part and not enough on the Cigar LOUNGE part. Mr. C's is the ultimate Cigar Lounge with great service, comfortable accommodations, plenty of space and a private lounge for members. With a full service bar and generous humidor, it's a top notch Cigar Lounge I'd recommend to all!Written 30 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Leonora BAtlanta, GA1 contributionFor my husband's birthday we wanted a family activity fun for everyone. We met captain Aram, who on short notice got his 2 masted schooner ready and took us for a lovely ride on the Bay. He provided drinks, entertainment and made it a wonderful day sailing. He give us the history, pointed out the views, and we had a great sailing experience. Usual length of a trip is 5 hours, but the captain is flexible. The boys had a great time, and I got to relax.Written 5 August 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
