Great place to buy a cold, tasty bottle of wine, sit under the tree, and enjoy the view, which stretches to the bay. We recommend a tasting of the wines to figure out what you'd like to buy. Pleasant and helpful staff. And, if you're so inclined, you can buy a bucket of golf balls and drive them into the field. But it was very nice to just sit and relax for a while. When the weather's not cooperative, there's a comfortable area to sit inside as well. They occasionally have events featuring music; so be sure to check their website to see what's coming up.

The "facilities" consist of a line of port-a-potties, but they were surprisingly unobjectionable.

We love Havre De Grace! We go to Conowingo Dam to see the Bald Eagles and then go to Havre De Grace. The Vandiver inn is awesome!

Battery Island Brewing Company is conveniently located near the corner of Washington Street and Congress Avenue with street parking usually available. On my visit, they had a variety of 12 different brews ranging from ales to lagers to darker beers. I ordered a flight of the three available IPAs, and for the fourth sample, I got the "35 Wit You" Belgian style Ale. The board above the bar described the hops, flavors, and other special features of each choice. My favorite was Day Man IPA, a double NEIPA, with Ekaunot, Simcoe, Cascade, Mosaic, and Citra Hops coming in at 8.6% ABV, and I ordered two cans to take home. It was fun to watch the cans being filled and sealed. Snacks are available, so I got a delicious soft pretzel, heated, and served with Dijon mustard. The seating area was rustic and pleasant. Prices were quite reasonable.

The weekly Havre de Grace Farmers Market is currently held at the junction of St. John Street and Congress Avenue. I found parking on a nearby street as the market staffs are actually set up in the street and the roads are blocked off. There were around three dozen dedicated and friendly vendors with a wide variety of wares who came from nearby as well as Cecil and Baltimore Counties. I stopped by two tents for wineries, one for coffee beans, another for cupcakes and confections, and another two for fresh vegetables and vegetable seedlings. My favorite was the Hatian pork and plantain stall where I got a tasty midmorning snack. A local musician was playing, and visitors were in a happy mood. I will need to return to check out the crafts and bring a cooler so I can take home some locally made ice cream.
