The Union Theater has also been the site of concerts ranging from the LSU a cappella choir to jazz performances by my friend Ellis Marsalis and (later) one of his talented sons, Branford.
LSU is a beautiful campus and well worth driving through and stopping along the way to view the clock tower, stadium, Mike the Tiger's habitat, Indian mounds, etc.

Loved my weekend in Baton Rouge, nice and easy to walk around and see so many sites and enjoy a walk along the banks of the Mississippi River as well as enjoy a coffee or a beer.
Many restaurants, theaters, hotels, sights & shops... Worth parking your car and strolling from the casino to the library to the Mississippi River to the Red Stick farmers market.
Louisiana Art & Science Museum
