This beach used to be much better before but so was the rest of this entire area. Being a local, we are more accommodating so will find this setting acceptable and will visit again. It would be nicer if this area was made pristine agai.

Went to Dischem and had lunch at Panarottis at the Bluff Towers. Conveniently located with most department stores. Clean and modern. Adequate free parking.

Went to see the lighthouse as something different to do... waste of time as its locked behind a fence to someone's property where you cant go in. No one to ask any questions and the information boards outside are illegible. Lighthouse looks cool but would have been amazing if there was a tour to go inside even if its just a mini weekend tour

Went to visit and have breakfast with family, but as I arrived early thought it would be a great opportunity to have a swim in the see.

Unfortunately it was closed due to E-Coli levels. If you are not sure what this is, it is the bacteria that is allowed to populate when sewage is pumped into the ocean. Today’s level was 1421. Safe levels need to be below 100.

If you are visiting Durban South, North or others along the main sea front. Make sure you check the boards before swimming.
