Although the National Portrait Gallery was unquestionably impressive, It is now wonderful, and somehow more personal, to be able to explore the museum and view the Welsh art which is on display.

An impressive church - and a familiar landmark on the A55 so it was wonderful to be able to see inside.

Superb views over to the Clwydian range and who can resist the urge to man the battlements and fire imaginary arrows at the attacking hordes - shop staff were great really engaging with the kids and happy to share...
Visited this wonderful Castle recently, you can see miles around from the man made steps so the view was very stunning.

The grounds have newly planted plants and shrubs, we sat in the main garden and ate our picnic, enjoying the sunshine and the fantastic views along the beautiful coastline.
Book in and call to the site and take a self guided tour, the small fee is well worth every penny, they encourage dogs on leads and the events are great.

Only a small site, little bigger than the size of a house.
I had just come to Prestatyn from Chester, which of course has many remnants of its Roman past, but I really found this site to be as special, if not even more so, than that celebrated city.
