- BoisenbBoise, ID405 contributionsIt is very helpful to read The Big Burn. It is about the fires in the Wallace, ID area in August of 1910. This hike is were Pulaski saved most of his fire fighters by hiding in the mine. The hike is easy and it follows a stream. There are markers all along the trail which give great information. The forest is so dense that it reminds me of a rain forest. Very peaceful place.Written 24 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GrandTour452506415 contributionsWe rode the trail twice within 3 weeks. Our first time was on a Tuesday in August. The next time was a Saturday in September (Last weekend of the season). Both times the ride was really awesome.
First ride had 5 couples. Parking was easy. After unloading we made our way to get passes. This was a bit hectic as there was a line for this. Could have been better if they had a few more people working passes OR one line for just passes and on for rentals/passes. But this wasn't a huge problem. We headed to the Taft Tunnel, which is over 8700 feet long. One of the guides helped us get a group picture in front of the tunnel. All of the guides and help were really great and friendly. We took our time to stop and read all of the signs about the trail. It was really a great time.
The second ride was last minute. It was the last weekend for the season. This was a bit more crowded in the parking lot but the trial itself didn't feel overly crowded. Tis ride was with 4 couples. The main backup this time was at the bottom (Pearson Trailhead). There was a huge line for the shuttle to take riders back to the top of the hill. We were planning on riding back so it didn't affect us. One cool thing; while resting at the bottom one of the guides actually recognized me from our first trip. This was amazing considering all of the people that go thru on the trail. But he stopped and talked with us for a bit.
This trail is a really fun family friendly trail to ride. Well organized with awesome staff. We will be riding this again in the future.Written 2 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We rented bikes to ride the Hiawatha Trail from Lookout Pass. We were able to get trail passes, shuttle tickets, and bike rentals all in one place. They were extremely helpful with all aspects...helping us find the trailhead, loading our bikes, and shuttling us back to the trailhead.
The folks at Lookout Pass made our bike ride one of the best parts of our recent vacation.Written 23 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Many course options to choose from, you can play Pebble Beach, courses in Scotland, and many more.Written 18 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MissyandBlakePlano, TX57 contributionsWe met them at their shop in Wallace at 8AM. Our bikes were loaded into their van and we followed them up to the 20 minute drive to the drop off point for the Hiawatha Trail. They gave a quick tutorial on how to ride the bikes. The bikes were very clean and fully charged. We rode the trial and then rode it back down to our meeting place. The bikes were awesome and made the ride so fun! They met us at the meeting place so we could give them back the bikes. Everything went smoothly and I very highly recommend them! Very professional and their bikes are in tiptop shape!Written 3 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
