- ELKWUnited States11Â 495 contributionsThe Amicalola falls inside this state park is quite beautiful, it's worth to go to take a look, you can either walk up the trail or drive to the different points, there is a reflection pool, but the water is greenish, not beautiful, you can see some reflection at some angle, but the lake itself is not impressive. The lower observation deck is the place that you can see the falls at the best angle. Besides the falls, there is also playground for kids, I see there is also zipline, but when we get there, it's after 5pm, not sure if it is too late? so no one there, and no staff there to operate the zipline. The visitor center also is a museum, there are some life reptiles in it. But the visitor center close so early at 5pm, so if you need to get information, you'd better go earlier. But even the visitor center is closed, you can still go to the falls. This state park required to pay $5 per day admission fee, and you can go to other state parks within GA for free for the same day with the day pass.Written 1 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Kelly SAiken, SC231 contributionswe do this yearly. The pumpkin farm just screams fall and halloween. Such a variety and such a clean and friendly atmosphere.Written 4 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Dsquared512Chicago, Illinois73 contributionsBeautiful Hike! We hiked from the visitor center up to the lodge (RT) in early March. We had a beautiful day with perfect weather. We started early and saw few fellow hikers until later in the morning. It was so interesting to meet some of the Appalacian Trail hikers and hear their stories on the start of their journeys. I have so much respect for them!Written 11 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- journalmytripsGeorgia606 contributionsThis attraction is listed as the Dawsonville History Museum but it is really about racing history in this part of Georgia. You enter through the gift shop to pay for your admission. From there the first cars on view were used to transport moonshine. These are nicely restored. There are several other cars to view in this hall. Next there is a video where seating is on bench type car seats. The next major story is about the Elliott family and especially Bill Elliot with his many trophies on display. The Hall of Fame featured people from various areas of Georgia who have been elected to that honor. One particular item of interest is the car Elliott was in that crashed at Talladega. Located several miles from the premium outlets and other shopping, this stop is well worth the drive if you are in the area.Written 7 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- xdanballxSyracuse, NY57 contributionsWhat a phenomenal little place! The gentleman working in the Distillery that day was beyond knowledgeable about the distilling process, the alcohols they have, and made sure to have you taste the difference. I not only learned a lot, but tasted a lot as well. Personally, the Apple Pie Moonshine, and the White Lightning were my favorite, but the White Lightning feels like it lights a fire inside! This was easily one of the highlights of my family’s trip to Georgia, and I truly hope I get to visit again soon!Written 23 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- AnnElizabeth97123Wichita, KS889 contributionsThere are many good shops here that you don’t find at other outlet malls. Very large. Allow 2+ hours to see all of it.Written 23 December 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

We didn't walk the entire falls this time but enjoyed meeting people along the way.Written 20 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- sally8363Vidor, TX664 contributionsView the middle of the falls from this short hike, which is mostly flat and totally paved with old crushed up tires! Comfy! Beautiful views.Written 29 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lori TDawsonville, GA2Â 497 contributionsWhenever we have visitors from out of town, we like taking them to the Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area that is located on Dawson Forest Rd just 6 miles west of the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall. They are always astounded to find the 3-story solid concrete hulk of the cold-war nuclear reactor hiding in the forest. On our most recent visit in June 2021, we found an abundance of wildlife, particularly reptiles. The Eastern Box Turtle laying eggs along the hiking path was fascinating, as was the baby toad smaller.than a bumble bee. Highly recommend a visit.Written 24 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lori TDawsonville, GA2Â 497 contributionsThe East Ridge Trail in Amicalola State Park begins at the back door of the Visitor Center and winds up the mountain slope to the top of Amicalola Falls. From this trail, you cannot see the falls, but you can see beautiful mountain woodland. The trail is well marked and in good shape, but it is very steep with tree roots and stones to step around. Hike this trail if you are looking for a challenge.Written 19 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lori TDawsonville, GA2Â 497 contributionsWhen we visited in July 2021, there were 20 vendors, including farmers offering tomatoes, onions, micro-greens, lamb, and much more. There ere also bakery products, jams, candles, artwork, woodwork, dolls, and other locally made products. The new pavillion is grand, keeping vendors, products, and visitors out of the weather. There is also a covered picnic area and restrooms right next to the farmers market, and a beautiful playground nearby. All in all, a great family outing.Written 24 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- amberg263Ellijay, United States49 contributionsWe looked at a vehicle there before making a vehicle purchase. The staff was friendly and not at all pushy. All the cars we saw were in great condition and clean.Written 16 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lori TDawsonville, GA2Â 497 contributionsWe stopped into the Bowen Center for the Arts to see their "Enchanted Forests" Photography exhibition and competition. We spent about 30 minutes wandering through the historic "Rock Schoolhouse", marveling at the talents of the photographers with works on display. This venue is bright and calming at the same time, and it is a peaceful place to just browse. The gift store offers reasonably priced works of art which could make perfect gifts. I purchased a signed copy of, "Mountains and Waterfalls of North Georgia", which is both a beautiful coffee table book and a great guide book. The displays in the Bowen Center change throughout the year, so their is always something new and interesting to see. Admission is free. It is worth a stop if you have some time while you are in the area. They also offer art classes, and the venue can be rented for private functions.Written 9 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Destination4732392 contributionsI am so impressed with Jungle Paradise and it's beauty! Every time I visit, I am in awe of the layout of flowers and trees displaying a vibrant assortment of color, the welcoming gazebo, and friendly tour by the owner. With 25 years of experience and 15 acres of beauty, it certainly is a sight to behold! I look forward to my next visit!Written 30 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
