One of my favorite places to kayak in central Florida is on Crooked RIver just West
of Clermont. A convenient Lake county launch site is available along with good parking
and new, clean restroom facilities. It is a quiet, slow moving little river that offers easy kayaking to either Lake Louisa or Lake Susan from the launch site. For more info, search the "Crooked River Preserve".

I've been using this dive shop since just after I met my wife in 1995. Jim is weird, and can't hardly hear, but he's got a heart of gold and lives for his passion of scuba diving. His prices on class are good and he'll price match the online guys. He's got stock out the yinyang, so chances are, he's got your size. You're not going to have to wait for him to order something to fit you.

I was looking for something to deter water fowl from my property. They were quite helpful and had a buy-one, get one free sale on the items that I needed. Note: It is an easy to find location but check their store hours before you go. I arrived to early and had to return at a later time.

The drive from I-75 to the grubby trailer park where Austin meets you is nothing short of hellish ... traffic, dump trucks, stop signs, stop lights, dusty, etc ... a five hour round trip for me and never again! Austin demands all money up front, even an extension of the normal 4-hour trip. Why would someone pay upfront for an extension when they don't know if they're going to want the extension? His boat is an old, shabby, pontoon; torn seats, junky. But who cares about the boat if you're thinking of gargantuan Largemouths? Austin sent me a picture of someone holding a ten pound bass and I now think the picture's message was fabricated; it does NOT appear on his current site's pictures of recent catches. He charged us $100.00 for four dozen shiners, shiners that were supposed to be a mixture of farm-raised and wild. The biggest one I saw was three inches and nothing resembling wild bait. My guess is that Austin's shiners are of his own and he is pocketing money that would otherwise go to a tackle shop. All four of us felt like Austin's priority was to get us out and get us in. in two days of fishing he went to the exact same canal spots (Harris Chain of Lakes? Don't believe it) and we got the same poor results. Stupidly, I prepaid for three days and have lost about $350.00. "Oh, but I'll send you a one-day credit." Austin knows he'll never see me again so I lose, he wins. ANYone can catch one pound Largemouths but Austin makes you think his charter boats nothing but gigantic fish. Don't believe it.
