Having some time to spare we organised a trip with a taxi who took us to the cultural centre. There some wonderful artifacts made by some very talented people. The artwork was especially good. Prices were displayed but the centre manager who welcomed us said we should approach him at the end of the visit to get "the best price". Sadly as we were very limited by weight and space in our luggage we were unable to consider any purchases.

Though a bit out of town, the playground is very well thought of and done. With physical activities for children of different age groups it’s lots of fun for everyone.

The food at the restaurant was good too.

Our guide Samwel was superb. Fluent in English, German and Norwegian as well as his native Swahili and Meru, he is very well informed and shares what he knows in a really accessible way. It was such a pleasure to meet his family and so interesting to learn about the coffee-making process from seedling to cup. Lunch afterwards was absolutely delicious and we were delighted to meet Kahawa owner Beate and her two teenage sons. We look forward to grinding our beans and drinking our coffee when we are back home in London!

Buy the most beautiful handcrafted baskets, bags, rugs, placemats, etc. They are produced on site by local artisans. The prices are brilliant - much cheaper than in Arusha. Very easy to find - just before Leganga Supermarket (coming from Arusha). A support this local group is a support to the local community. They are on instagram.

It's been my dream to travel to the African continent for almost six decades. How incredibly lucky we were that we chose to travel with Regal African Safaris! No matter what I might have imagined over the last sixty years, our trip exceeded my wildest dreams a hundred times over.

The itinerary could not have been better planned, allowing us to see and do a nice variety of things. Our lodging was all top-notch. Despite the fact that we were in mid-range lodges and camps rather than the luxury ones available throughout Tanzania, the accommodations FELT luxurious, and we were pampered and spoiled every place that we stayed. (Not to mention that the food was nothing short of amazing.)

Our guides could not have been better. Gabi and James worked together to assure that we found plenty of animals and were always positioned for the best possible photos and views. They not only seemed to know when animals were about to move, but had the experience and "sixth sense" that allowed them to know exactly where those animals would head next so that we could be there waiting for them, rather than racing up on top of them as we saw so many other safari companies doing

From their warmly greeting us immediately as we exited the airport terminal, to their safely putting us on our plane back to Arusha, Gabi and James made us feel cared for, safe, and loved as if we were long-lost family.

African safaris can be expensive. I know people that spent double what my safari cost that did not see or do as much as I was able to. If you want an excellent experience, at a fair price, I strongly encourage you to travel with Regal African Safaris. It's a well-established company, owned and run by a local who understands the culture, the history, the topography, the wildlife, and (most of all) how to make your dreams come true.

I planned this vacation as the one and only trip of a lifetime, sure that this vacation would satisfy me for the rest of my life. Instead, thanks directly to Gabi, James, and Regal African Safaris, I cannot wait to go back.

Asante sana, James and Gabi. Until we can be together again, I send much love and huge hugs from Colorado. ~Trish G.

My appraise is for the astronomy buffs,Imagine reclining on fat, squishy beanbags after a gourmet dinner,a guide not pointing out predators, but unveiling the secrets of the cosmos.Matta provided a high-powered telescope, transforming the savannah into a giant star chart. We spent hours lost in the Milky Way, identifying constellations from a completely new vantage point.Sure, seeing a pride of lions was breathtaking, but gazing at the Southern Cross, a constellation invisible from Europe was my highlight.

We had an amazing time in the Serengeti using the services of Tanzania Kenya Safari. Great vehicle, they gave very good binoculars, the guide, George, was very nice and excellent driver.

The accommodation in the park was also fantastic, we stayed in Serengeti Heritage camp, and it felt genuine, authentic but extremely comfortable, remote and with lovely staff. Amazing camp for a safari with animals around the camp everywhere
All in all, a perfect safari
