We found great results, but some are outside Trinidad. Showing results in neighbouring cities.
Limit search to Trinidad.
Patrick's Point State Park
#1 of 9 Nature & Parks in Trinidad
This park has A LOT to offer and for everyone; rock climbers, new hikers, paved walking paths, more challenging hikes, secret beauties, succulents EVERYWHERE, Native American culture and so much more.
... was pretty magical during the time we had thanks to wonderful walks (especially the rim trail), the fantastic look out points (especially from the top of Wedding Rock), and the beaches to explore within the park.
Trinidad State Beach
#2 of 9 Nature & Parks in Trinidad
We hiked for hours at the park, along the beach, out on the two heads and inland on it's beautiful fern and redwood covered trails.
You park and cross a small sand hill and then you are on this beautiful beach with tide pools, shellfish, and rocks.
Moonstone Beach
#3 of 9 Nature & Parks in Trinidad
You'll find every kind of person here, the local, the nature loving tourist, families, pets, sports enthusiasts.
Allow some time to park and walk around a bit there are lots of nooks to stake a claim and hang out.
Big Lagoon County Park
#4 of 9 Nature & Parks in Trinidad
The Big Lagoon County Park, north of Trinidad, is a great place to relax.
After being turned away with our two dogs at St. Patrick's Point, we were DELIGHTED to discover this beautiful, dog friendly county park.
Humboldt Lagoons State Park
#5 of 9 Nature & Parks in Trinidad
Humboldt Lagoons State Park encompasses three lagoons (Freshwater, Stone, and Big Lagoon) strung along the coastline.
We have stayed in Big Lagoon Park (camping) and have also been to Big Lagoon for July 4th fireworks.
College Cove
#6 of 9 Nature & Parks in Trinidad
You can park and go hike to the ocean but..you need to be aware that thieves are waiting for you to go so they can get into your vehicle and pillage all your stuff.
After driving north on Stagecoach Road, park in the gravel parking area.

I love this park - waling along Strawberry Creek and the dunes is a wonderful break!
We had a long (4 mile round trip?) walk on this marvelous sandy ocean beach from the tiny parking lot to what must have been Moonstone County Park.
Clam Beach McKinleyville 7.5 km away

Great place to park the car and watch the ocean.
