    Review of: Tyre Beach
    Perfect place for fun and relax
    We went to the beach in late afternoon and it was incredible experience. Place is not overcrowded and there are mainly locals. Sand and water are very clean.

    Review of: Roman Hippodrome
    Out of Ben Hur!
    A fairly well preserved Roman Hippodrome with a largely intact grandstand and an obelisk. Someone had left a white horse nearby which was rather funny.

    Review of: Al-Bass Archaeological Site
    Absolutely stunning
    The two UNESCO archaeological sites at Tyr (Sour) are exceptional. There is some much here, mainly Roman but also Phoenician and Byzantine architecture. The road through the Necropolis goes under the 2 Hadrian arches the tallest at 22 mtr, you then enter the city area and head to the largest and best preserved hippodrome in the world 480 x 160 mtr site with 30,000 seating capacity. A short journey takes you onto the island over a causeway built by Alexander the Great, here the 170 mtr Roman road is flanked by 8 mtr high granite columns imported from Egypt, when the sea is calm you can see where the road continues. There are large well preserved Roman baths. Guided by a local archaeologist and had the whole site to myself, so lucky to be able to visit such an exceptional site

    Beautiful landscape
    Beautiful landscape, clean sandy beach. Nice to swim against the waves, walk on the sandy beach or relax on the the green grass. Bring your own alcohol as it is not served within the resort. Beware of sea currents. Water in the Swimming pool is not clear due to sand from swimmers coming from the sea. Recommended.
