- giada8 contributionsNice and easy trip, they picked us up on time and they were always punctual throughout the stops. The guide and the driver were friendly. For the first stop, the gorge, you need trainers and bear in mind it's very windy. The second stop, Damnoni, is a very nice beach. The boat trip was great, very beautiful view of the coast. Preveli was amazing! Although there are many people and the toilets are terrible. Finally Plakias was nice. Everything went well and I'm happy I did it. I would have taken off Plakias and stayed in Damnoni, because there isn't enough time there to swim, and then in Plakias we really just had lunch. Not too easy to reach (for example from Hersonissos over 2 hours driving by car) and then you have to use steps up and down but it is not too long walking. If you enjoy views on the road - mountains, sea from the top of some mountain etc, superview to/from the beach, walking in a palm-park, swimming - worth to visit it! Also worth to know - there is a river where you can swim also (specially important in a case if a salty sea-water hurts your skin for some reason). The beach is sandy and the sand was really hot.
There are also available services like shower, restaurant etc. There are quite many people but I would not say it is overcrowded - sure if you prefer some beach to be alone then it is not for you but hard to expect any beach like this with a good asphalt road etc built just for you :)
P.S. Also some boat-trips are organized to this beach. - Jacky14 contributionsLovely to see Agge again. Once again a lovely warm welcome. First stop was a village and it was so relaxing walking around with her. She seemed to know the whole village. We all sat and had coffee chatting about the Cretan traditions. The small museum was bought alive but the enthusiastic curator who we shared an Ouzo with. Then onto a gorge and beach stop travelling through the most amazing scenery. She got our youngest in the sea snorkelling. Lunch was at a very traditional family run Cretan restaurant where Gyros was consumed. Agge is now a friend. Our first stop was Rethimno, where we enjoyed the cute shops and the marina. We then enjoyed Greek coffee in the town of Spili, went through a beautiful gorge on our way to the the monastery in Previli. We then toured the town of Argiroupoli, where we enjoyed a delicious Greek lunch. We lastly visited a gorgeous lake (Limni Kourna). There were lots of stops, points of interest/scenery for pictures, beach, pool bar, tasting and lunch. He went out of his way to ensure we had a good time. The food was unlimited in food, drink and raki. - Christina D2 contributionsWe had an amazing trip with Tina and Stefanos. They treat you like family and let us customize the end of the trip a little so we could spend more time at a place we were very eager to see. The van is clean and Stefanos is a great driver and such a sweetheart. Tina is now practically family to us and we love her and couldn’t recommend this trip enough!
