As a child/teenager I always dreamed of a safari and what can I say, my great expectations were exceeded.

One thing was the breathtaking nature (whether Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti or Ngorongoro Crater), which was so varied and I have never felt so connected to our origins.

The other thing was how well Suricata Safaris organised everything. ‘Rocky’ is simply the best guide you can wish for. He told us so much about the wildlife, took us to the most beautiful places (it was great everywhere, but the viewpoint over the Ngorongoro Crater and the sunset in the middle of the Serengeti were probably the highlights) and did everything to give us an unforgettable adventure.

Although I am picky when it comes to food, there was something delicious for me every day.

I can only recommend Suricata Safaris to anyone.

I had the pleasure of having Lewis as my safari guide, and I highly recommend him! His extensive knowledge of animals, local culture, and ecosystems made every moment informative and exciting. He has a true passion for nature and wildlife conservation, ensuring we observed animals without disturbing them. Lewis’ calm and respectful approach allowed us to experience wildlife up close. He made our safari unforgettable with his keen eye and fascinating stories.

Wonderful trip with attentive and knowledgeable crew. I’ve got briefing the night before and was picked up on time. On the way to meet the rest of the group saw giraffes crossing the road, so unexpected and exciting. Super tasty lunch too. Sightings of animals and birds are amazing. From talking to others I’d suggest combining this day trip with Tarangire National Park but if you are short on time as I was, this is definitely en eye opening experience

Amazon experience. We would recommend this tour and the company to live this adventure. We would like to thank our guide Mohamad, our cooker Yohane, and Gerome, our tour manager, for their kindness and treatment.

This was definitely a life-changing experience. From the first email interaction until the last goodbye, everything went so smoothly. It was almost dream like. Being a solo traveller, and travelling for the first time ever, this experience could not have gotten any better.
I was met at the airport by a young man named Calvin, who drove me to Arusha to my hotel. I was met by Mr. T who gave me the rundown of what events were about to occur.
The next morning, I met the incredible Rocky, who was to be my tour guide for the next five days. From his funny introduction to his great smile, I knew we were going to get along fine.
I got in the Jeep and met my fellow travellers who quickly went from strangers to family, despite all of our differences.
It was obvious right from the start how much Rocky loves his job, with his wealth of information, driving capabilities and patience, as he tolerated my many many questions. He found the hardest animals to find giving us the best view for pictures. He found ways to communicate with others in ourJeep that didn’t speak English and always made everyone feel comfortable. He greeted us every morning with a smile and ended each day with a smile, never showing any signs of annoyance, fatigue, or frustrations. Truly an expert in his field of work.
The accommodations were beautiful and the food, especially our lunches made by Pius, were delicious.
I can’t thank Suricata Safaris enough for the experience. 10/10 recommendation!

This was the most AMAZING experience with the BEST guide in all of Tanzania (Damien). Suricata Safari is nothing less than world class and you know you’re in good hands right away. From their customer service, briefers, handlers, guides, and those who work at the Suricata Boma Lodge which is also a lux resort with amazing views of Lake Manyara. You feel secure and well taken care of from the jump. We did the mid range 4 day safari staying at the Suricate Boma Lodge, Tanzania Bush Camp, and Ang’ata Lodge and each one was unique, clean, excellent service and beautiful. The staff in each lodge was spectacular! We will be bringing family with us on our return safari trip and we will definitely be going through Suricata again and requesting Damien as our Chief of Safari!! Asante Sana, Damien and Suricata team!!! 🙏🏼🇹🇿♥️

Had an amazing trip. Guide is very knowledgeable and caring. Because of his effort (and a good bit of luck) we spotted the big five and many more! Excellent breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the way thanks to the chef and other staff. Great value for money.

We thoroughly enjoyed our safari that took us from Nairobi into Tanzania. We visited the Maasai Mara National Reserve where highlights included seeing majestic giraffes and elephants, a lion with its kill, beautiful zebra and the wildebeest migration.

We crossed into Tanzania and explored the Serengeti where we saw more amazing animals including a leopard, cheetah, hippos and prides of lions.

We also visited Ngorongoro Park and the Ngorongoro Crater where we saw a rhinoceros grazing in the distance. We also visited Lake Manyara and enjoyed seeing the baboons that live there.

The sites we stayed at were comfortable and the food was delicious. They were able to accommodate dietary restrictions which was appreciated.

Our guides Robert and Nelson were very attentive, and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the animals, the parks and lakes that we visited. Our shuttle driver Issac also shared interesting information about the animals we had seen and the Maasai culture.

    What an exceptional experience!

I booked the tour looking for something that was good value and not a tourist trap.

Moraka Safaris completely exceeded my expectations. Everything was well organised, the food exceptional and wow did we see animals!! We saw the full big 5 except for a leopard. I come from South Africa where we have many game parks - this blew them all away.

We had a wonderful experience with Dancing Simbas. We booked 6 days visiting, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorogoro national parks safaris. The tour was excellent . Our tour guides very experienced and spotted different species of wildlife almost impossible for us to ser and brought us to close proximity to get photographs. Even late in the evening when they heard on the rangers radio that there was a rare sighting , they would get to the location to ensure we got the max from our tour. We had a cook supplied in tour and the food was very good. Our accommodation was in lodges mist night which was simple with comfortable bed and washing and toilet facilities. There was music and acrobatic entertainment in some locations which was very enjoyable. We visited Materuni waterfall, a good hike and a reasonable level of fitness needed but excellent tour, we are early 60s and fit for it. A photographers paradise. The rest was wildlife safaris except the last day which was a cultural hike in a local village learning about their heritage agriculture and development plans which was very interesting and then a visit to a working Masai tribe which was also very interesting. We would highly recommend Dancing Simbas for their friendly experienced staff and giving us a very memorable holiday and education. Pat and Fiona, Ireland 🇮🇪

Together with my family, we spent the first seven days of February 2025 on a safari with Oscar Africa. They took care of designing a safari tailored to the requirements we set, making a great effort from the beginning to meet our objectives: experiencing nature and learning about the local customs.

Our guides during these days, Cristian and Baraka, demonstrated great professionalism. During the many hours we spent in the car together, Cristian shared (in perfect Spanish) insights about Tanzania’s history and the traditions of its people. Additionally, he is highly knowledgeable about wildlife, not only large mammals but also reptiles, birds, and even flora.

Baraka, on the other hand, proved to be a skilled driver, navigating the trails and muddy roads with expertise. He was always attentive to spotting animals and, most importantly, ensuring the comfort of our daughters throughout the journey.

They carried out their work with absolute professionalism and are highly recommended. The food we had, both at the hotel and during the picnics, was exquisite. From the office, Madelen was always attentive to our requests.

Overall, Oscar Africa not only met but exceeded our expectations.
