- DuncanTCHEast Greenbush, NY1 499 contributionsObviously, the Okavango River is responsible for creating the Okavango Delta. But the river itself is worthy of special attention because of all of the animals it draws during the dry season. We were there in late May, at the end of the dry season before the rains came and surprising, the river really the only place where one sees water...the delta is completely dry (especially this past year). So regardless of season, the Okavango River does not disappoint with all of the animals that it draws as well as its own natural beauty.Written 23 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - InSearchOfVeganFood62 contributionsHelene and her team really looked after us and paid attention to every detail to make sure our trip was unforgettable.
From the calls in advance to go over everything and understand all of our wishes for the trip, then meeting us at the airport and introducing us to our most wonderful guide Joseph, then of course the adventure began and we went on the experience of a lifetime!
We were taken on daily tours of the bush, served great vegan meals every day, went on a dugout canoe ride, tried basket weaving and camped in the middle of the Moremi game reserve for multiple nights where we got to see these incredible animals living in their natural environment.
We saw lions, elephants, wild dogs, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, wildebeest and more! Joseph is incredibly kind and knowledgable and was always teaching us things about the wildlife. It's hard to put into words, but these memories will stay with our family forever.
Thank you Helene, David, Joseph and team!Written 21 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There isn't another company I would ever have chosen for this experience!!.. Absolutely everything was thought of for our 3 day/2 night safari. Our guide, William, has got to be the best guide in the entire area, he did everything to allow us the best experience, and he was above & beyond successful, we all truly, truly appreciated his efforts and his attentiveness to what we all hoped to get out of the experience, he literally made all of our personal hoped for sightings happen and then some! Food was plentiful and just amazing, I adored Olie & Digs and hope this reaches them, just to express how much I enjoyed meeting them, and appreciate how very well they took care of us and would choose them a hundred times over, thank you....thank you.....wanting to go on a safari???..THIS is the one, Temogo is absolutely the right choice, thank you so very much for having us;-)Written 6 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ian B4 contributionsFirst time to Botswana and hopefully not the last, I'm missing it already. Many thanks to Christelle and Gondwana Tours for setting it up for me. From the planning stages and helping me find the right accomodations, to the transfers, everything went smoothly. I can see why Gondwana has such good reviews.Written 30 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- moobileee3 contributionswilddogs and wildcats, a serval and we even saw a leopard. We saw many birds and learned a lot about the animals. The food was so good we all gained weight. The Service, the tents and the car were just perfect and Kemy managed everything in a very professional manner.

We started at Maun and did 2 days wild camping in Moremi, two days in Khwai at a lodge and two days on a houseboat in Seronga.
Maria from Kalahari Breeze was amazing. She was prompt with all correspondence and made some brilliant suggestions for our itinerary.
The wild camping was amazing. A team prepared our food and our tents. We saw amazing wildlife, especially lions, and wonderful sunsets. Tsidi the driver and Ronnie the mechanic were awesome. For this part od the journey we were a group of 8. We then had two days at Moremi O Bona Lodge which was out of this world. Mocks our guide managed to track us leopards and wild dogs as well as the wonderful other sightings. The whole team here made us so welcomed and they cared for us well. From here we flew to Seronga where Cpt Sam and Jonah welcomed us and we tried mokuru, bird watching and fishing. And from there back to Maun. None of this would have been possible without Kalahari Breeze. They made our trip unforgettable.Written 7 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The great service began before we left Australia as we emailed to and fro asking questions and clarifying details about the trip and were provided with all the info we needed by the very helpful Kealeboga James. It was a mobile safari which meant we camped in 4 different areas. As such, we got to see different landscapes and animals through Okavango Delta, Khwai Community Area, Savute area and Chobe National Park. I arrived in Maun the day before our tour started but still I was greeted at the airport by Walking Sticks owner Phillimon who drove me to my hotel. He immediately struck me as a polite and respectful person and as we spent the week in his care he proved to also be professional, humble, flexible, trustworthy and extremely knowledgeable with regard to flora, fauna and all things nature. He was supported by a terrific, hardworking team including Chef 'Prince' (a funny fellow), another expert guide, and multi-skilled back-up people who did everything from poling the Mokoro canoes to setting up tents and completing many tasks required to look after our needs so all the hard work was done for us. Our tour began with an enthralling Mokoro trip through the beautiful pristine wetlands where we were amongst hippos, crocs, elephants and birds. Mokoro's are the main form of transport and our camping spot was inaccessible by road and located in a shady nook near the water where we could view elephants and hear the sounds of nature (eg lion's roaring) day and night. Our tents with en-suite were adequate and we enjoyed the food and gin & tonic 'sundowner's whilst watching the gorgeous sunsets. Each day we spent hours game viewing either on foot or by jeep and Phillimon had a gift at being able to track and locate all manner of wildlife including lion, hyena, wild dogs, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, baboon, leopard and a variety of antelope and birds. We learnt so much as he imparted his knowledge of their behaviour and the landscape. All our campsites were different and in lovely settings. If you are a person who loves nature and living amongst it, can be up at sunrise every day and handle the challenges of dusty, bumpy roads and hot weather (October) then this tour is for you. It is one of the most memorable experiences in my 40 years of traveling. Thank you so much to Phillimon - your integrity is a true asset. Walking Sticks is a locally owned and run business and deserves the highest praise.Written 15 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BackPacker6163364 contributionsWe went on the 17 day camping participation Leopard Safari from the Kalahari through the Okavango Delta, Moremi, Chobe to Victoria Falls. We highly recommend this trip for the complete immersion into the bush and the total wildlife experience. We saw 3 leopards, wild dogs, elephants, giraffe, antelope, aardvark, honey badger, lion, hippo, countless birds, etc, etc. The experience of lying in your tent at night listening to the bush sounds is wonderful. This is an affordable safari, you join in with the daily tasks but you are very well looked after. But you must like camping and not mind being sweaty and dusty. Rex was a knowledgeable, safe and fun guide-driver. KP was a brilliant cook and also very ready to answer our questions and show us things. They were both very kind. We recommend Bushways.Written 13 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Anne S15 contributionsOur Botswanan safari with Gideon and his crew was amazing. Their knowledge of, and passion for, the natural environment was clear from Day One. This was our first visit to Africa and we were not sure what we were going to experience. Camping in the wild gave us the opportunity to see animals big and small up close and away from large groups of people. Words cannot describe what it is like to see some of the animals you've read about or watch in documentaries in their natural habitat for the first time. This was an experience beyond our usual day to day lives but the briefings and guidance we received from the team made us feel safe during our time in the bush. We will never forget this. Our tent was very comfortable and large enough for a 185 cm tall person to stand up in and we appreciated the private toilet facilities attached to the back of the tent. Mikey, our Botswanan Master Chef, consistently produced wonderful meals in the bush kitchen and we loved sitting around the bush television at night, hearing the sounds of animals roaming around. We allowed 12 days to visit Magkadikgadi, Moremi and Chobe National Parks and Khwai Concession. All very different locations and offering wonderful wildlife experiences. Be aware that the driving time between Maun and some of these locations takes longer than it looks on a map due to the condition of the roads so if you want to visit them all, allow plenty of time. Also be prepared to be flexible as you are travelling in remote places and things don't always go to plan. We enjoyed this trip so much that we hope to do another one in the not-too-distant future. Ke a leboga to Gideon and your team, Anne & Paul.Written 28 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - J MPhnom Penh2 contributionsThe professionalism and hospitality of this company is beyond words. My friend and I did a tour with a guide for 2 nights in a tent.
We saw all the animals we expected plus more (ex. lot of lions). Our guide was a master chef plus had eagle eyes (ex. With his bare eyes he spotted a cheetah under a tree 500m away. Impressive!).
100% recommended.Written 3 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tony's Mobile Safaris have been great every step of the way. After choosing them due to great reviews, after this trip, i was so happy i did. You never really know yet Tony's Mobile safaris were everything everyone said they were.
I did a 10-day mobile safari from Kasane to Maun. Jack, our safari guide was fantastic. He was committed, passionate, knowledgeable and fun! An excellent driver on sandy Botswana roads, he got us everywhere safely. He was committed to getting the best siting's of so many animals. Chobe National Park and Moremi Game Reserve were extraordinary. So many animals & such varied landscapes. I am so glad we got to spend a couple of days at each location to really experience everything it had to offer. We had elephants in the camp & heard lions roaring at night. Chobe NP was much quieter than the Serengeti which allowed you to enjoy the animals up close.
The travel days were long and hot however the amazing animal sightings and great company made up for this. A hot shower was always waiting at the other side. Days were spent on safari drives in the morning and afternoon and resting in camp during the hot part of the day. Lunch was served hot by our awesome cook Bongo and our camp was always set up by Dishu. The boys made a great team and made the trip seamless and enjoyable. The food was amazing and having a hot shower while camping was a blessing.
I would definitely travel with this team and Tony's Mobile Safaris again.Written 16 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were in botswana for photo shooting to see the wild life. This is what we have seen. Julius has laser sharp eyes and very good ears. Go bold is going bold. When something is spotted like a leppard, Julius is making sure you well see this. His English is very good and explains a lot. With all the drives, we felt very save. It is amazingly how good they know the behaviour of the animals to make sure you are save. Arriving on the campsite, his team made all the preparations. our tent was ready, the food corner was set up, Chris (chef cook) made a wonderful three course dinner (every day) which was served by Kelly. But also the breakfast and lunch are good. Second part was in the Okavango Delta. All the boats were waiting and took us to the campsite. Mike was our guide on the Komoro and showed us many animals in the Okavango Delta. We also made 2 long hikes and Mike made sure we were on a save distance to the animals.
All is perfectly organized and everything to make sure that the customer is happy and satisfied.
I definitely recommend Go Bold Adventure to have an adventure in Botswana.
The people in Botswana are very friendly and never felt a moment unsave.Written 2 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Many thanks to the lovely team! Wina, TT, OT, Tman, Wayne, Ktwo, Sos, Gosiame, Brain and Scubie: you made our holidays unforgetable!Written 16 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
