We did our scenic flight in March 2020. Before i book with them i read all their reviews and comments on the various sites and all were encouraging Air Shakawe. They proved it From booking until end of the flights all their staffs were very professional and help[ full. Special thanks to Amanda Reservation Manager.
Brain Pilot, was awesome, we did not feel the Take off and landing. It was very smooth. Thank you Air Shakawe.

We were very impressed with this operation. The office was efficient and friendly and our pilot spoke better English than us (and we’re English).

The flight over the Delta was a once in a lifetime experience. We saw lots of wildlife and the pilot was on the ball identifying all of the animals for us.

Wouldn’t hesitate to take this trip again.

My partner and I are travelling by motorbike through Africa. We wanted to see the Okovango Delta but didn't want to waste money renting a 4x4. We found the orange 'Okovango Scenic Flights' desk in Maun airport very easily. They were much more straight forward to book with than the other companies as they quoted the price per person ($200, with no hidden additional costs) for the 1 hour scenic flight and had a variety of different sized planes to accomodation different sized groups. We did not have to wait for more people to make a larger group which really helped us with our last minute booking. We were given free choice of when to go (early morning and late afternoon best for game viewing) that day or the next. The entire team were professional and very friendly. We got to see lots of elephants, giraffes, ostrich, wilderbeast as well as some of the delta's waterways. It was such an incredible experience which we will never forget. We would highly recommend this company to others 👍🏼

We were staying at the Sedia Hotel, a few minutes outside of town. The hotel had a in-house tour side (Afro Trek) which we used for a day jeep safari. Kavango Air was their nominated contact when they arranged a flight for us over the Delta.

We were a group of twelve so had two aircraft at our disposal.

These type of 45 min scenic flights tend to be early morning or late afternoon to maximise the amount of animals you can see. Ours was 16.00h.

Kavangos office / check in is suituated upstairs at the very small Maun airport. Passports were needed as id check. Credit card was fine for payments. As in most places, SA Rand was also accepted as a currency, but with a premium on the rate. Stick with credit card its cheaper.

With no flights departing from Maun at the time of our flight, we were through security in minutes.

Flights are undertaken at a height of 500ft so good views are guaranteed. Pilots seem to know which area to fly to obtain the best chances of seeing something.

Taking off you suddenly realise Maun isn't very big given the airport is bang in the centre!

Our flight was 45 mins long. We saw elephants, giraffe, zebra, hippo/rhino (couldnt tell from the air!) numerous waterfowl and had great views of the landscape.

Well woth the money and lets be fair if you have travelled to Botswana its wildlife you want to see.

We travelled in a seven and five seater aircraft - both gave excellent wndow views. On both aircraft one passenger will be up front with the pilot.

A great experience, one we are glad we did.
