What travellers are saying
- Thrillhouse X2 contributionsReally enjoyed the skunk encounter! The keeper was lovely and made sure we had a good time, her love for the animals was evident throughout. The park has a great range of exotics and it's a reasonably priced day out for families. Giving ex-pets and zoo animals homes where they will be properly cared for is so important, Ark do great things for animals. Will definitely be back!Written 7 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dave MSaffron Walden, UK31 contributionsA great find in a rural location, unusual museum with a number of bubblecars on display along with scooters and motorcycles also static displays of memorabilia from the '50s and '60s mainly some set in period diorama rooms. Cosy cafe and shop with very friendly staff.Written 18 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SKALondonLondon, UK2 261 contributionsAnother return visit.
Goldeneye, Curlew, Lesser Yellowlegs and skylark. Not bad for a short visit as some parts of paths needed wellies on our visit.
The pools visible from the car park delivered again.

- Stacy PBedford, UK10 contributionsAbsolute 5 out of 5. This is a brilliant and excellent value visit. The simulator is a great reproduction of the cockpit, and you feel like you're flying for real. A great instructor who is very friendly takes you through all aspects and the best sort of enthusiast sharing their joy. We booked a 2 hour visit for 3 of us and each took a turn flying to the airports of our choice. I was super pleased to be able to fly to Rio and around the Christ the Redeemer.Written 13 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Wayne S11 contributionsThis is great abit of time out in the woods at one with nature and wildlife clean and tidy and everyone is so friendly and the dog owners keep it tidyWritten 16 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JACKIE S14 contributionsA pleasant way to spend 30-45 minutes of time whilst in Boston. The building has a warm aurora, but I could still imagine the happy social gatherings, shenanigans and purgatory over many centuries occurring all in one building. The kitchen in particular appealed to me - I've never seen a sink like it before!Written 27 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul RWellingborough, UK773 contributionsAs I didn't venture inside, this attractive landmark was, for me, purely 'someting to see' and take a snap of. For those purposes, it was pretty and unusual and constituted one of the brighter points in what is, largely, a rather bleak and seedy town.Written 4 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul CBoston, UK32 contributionsAs I am a pro photographer this church has to be a close fav ever. Its so grand and steeped in history. Climbing the steps to get a birdseye view of Boston is a challenge but well worth it.Written 17 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Seating in the theatre bit small.
Nice to get a beer afterwards. Nice place

Its very small, so you can see a lot in a small amount of time and it's very flat.Written 20 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shelly173Gainsborough, UK78 contributionsFydell house is the oldest building remaining from its era so, I was informed when I was there to volunteer. Weddings mainly are held here & the gardens are used for weddings photo’s even if wedding takes place else where . Entirely run via volunteer work , some rooms are rented out to help fund & whilst I was there the main function room was being decorated back to its original colour. There is a fully functioning kitchen for catering & another company was used for doing vintage tea’s .
There are some costumes should anyone wish to try on or marry totally in theme with the building. I helped with booking the weddings onto computer , had a few ideas which I was told were good but, couldn’t be paid for else I would still be there & full time.
I think if the building was fully put back to its original state & all rooms used it would be better but, people can’t volunteer forever.Written 16 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
