- pfefmeisterSan Francisco, CA3 043 contributionsStopped by after doing the Cliff Walk Loop. Lovely gravesite and church overlooking the sea. I find it peaceful to walk through these Irish burial sites and reflect on the grave markers - some so worn by time to be unreadable. You can’t miss this one as it presents itself as you work your way back into town.Written 14 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bozeman-DublinTrim, Ireland8 868 contributionsI was here on a beautiful sunny early morning for a walk and had the place almost to myself even in lovely weather. Its a short drive from Ardmore, only a few minutes or so, and there is space to park your car.
It's very scenic and ideal for a walk, a lovely curve of sand with some rocks. I didn't swim so I can't comment on that aspect but the water looked crystal clear abd clean to me.
Very secluded in that there is nothing here except the beach, exactly why I chose to drive out for a walk!Written 4 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - swimking2015Cork, Ireland119 contributionsHighly recommended. Start in wonderful, friendly Ardmore village. Wonderful cliff walk with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, purple heather on the slopes and barley fields. A number of historic look out positions and religious areas on the walk. Used by whale watch groups and ornithologists. Guide leaflet available in the Round Tower Hotel. Credit to Waterford County Council for the upgrade of the surface, timber steps and safety fencing.Written 27 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - hudsdebBirmingham, UK35 contributionsWe spent a tough but really special afternoon kayaking with Luke. We were a mixed ability group but Luke managed to make the experience great fun for us all.
The tide gave us the opportunity to explore the wreck and the near by caves. We were joined by a seal cub, whilst we explored the bay, who was clearly as interested in what we were up to as we were enchanted by it.
Luke shared local history and pointed out marine life along the way
We had walked the coastal path in the morning so it was rewarding to see the cliff from the water in the afternoonWritten 8 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Boy was I disappointed. The only thing this spa has going for it are the views. No relaxation room for after treatment. No fruit or juice or bottles of water offered. The massage was ok not great.
We were just shoved back into the common pool area once treatments were finished. And our treatment wasn’t even the full time it was supposed to be.
The jacuzzi outside was lovely but you must get out of it everytime to activate the bubbles. The glass along the edge was filthy you couldn’t take a nice photo of the view from the jacuzzi.
We did have lunch afterwards in the bar as part of our package and this was best part of the day. Food was great. Lunch menu is great value. Service was much better on this side.
I would not go back to this spa based on our experience. We have had much better experience in 4 star hotels.Written 29 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
