Absolutely world class! From the friendly security, perfect gardens, beaaautiful new shop, it seems everything was well thought through and no effort spared. Also, their sustainability message shines through from beginning to end. Well done Spier!

We were just walking around Stellenbosch when we happened upon the Botanical Gardens. We spent a good 2 hours walking around enjoying the plants, gardens and wildlife. We stopped for a coffee in the shade and were really surprised by how fab it was. I would definitely recommend a visit.

We enjoyed a stroll down this historic street, with its grand buildings, smart cafes & restaurants.
Look out for interesting street art too.

We had dinner at Claras Barn last night and it was amazing!! We did the wine pairing menu. Every course was absolutely delicious!
Bianca and Christian were fantastic hosts. Both had an excellent knowledge of the food and wines.
The decor in the restaurant, which were the old stables was very tastefully done. The setting of the restaurant overlooking the dam with a fantastic sunset view was spectacular!
I can highly recommend this restaurant for a fantastic dining experience!

A few important things to note before you go! The trails are some distance from the entrance. You can drive your car and park at a couple of different locations to access trails. BUT beware. The road is narrow and unpaved with rocks and bumps. It is a one-way loop so once you enter you must continue. Parking spots are few, if taken, then you must drive on. There is no shade so be prepared and take water with you.

As for trails, they are very narrow and rocky. Tracking poles may be advisable along with good hiking shoes. Constantly looking down to avoid rocks distracts from enjoying the views, which are great.

What a charming place to visit. They have so much to offer from the shops, restaurant, wine tasting, petting zoo and even the big cat farm. The kids enjoyed the play area after which they joined us for a kids tasting, nice touch. The person who helped us with the tasting was very helpful and knowledgeable as well.

We spent 3 nights in the cottage at this lovely wine estate with our family. Everything was excellent, from the super friendly staff, comfy accommodation, and excellent food. The breakfasts were superb. Nothing was too much trouble. We ordered a cheese platter to be delivered to our room one evening, wow, it was fantastic, thank you to Uanele for arranging this, apologies if I have misspelt your name. We will definitely return to this gorgeous wine farm and thank you for making our weekend away so special.

Lots to see, many different animals.

There's a lot of mud, which I knew (there had been a lot of rain that fell shortly before). However, considering there's just so much mud, they could just put a hose for everyone to see to wash off their shoes & boots.

The food market is only open on Saturdays and Sundays but is well worth the visit, a wide range of foods from the typical cuisines you’d be hungry for. Great value for money when you convert it back into £s and there’s a large outdoor area to relax in the sun and can also do a bit of shopping.

During the week the upstairs restaurant has a great view at sunset should you want to go for dinner.

Parking at the weekend is quite busy though so bear that in mind.

We booked the 'soccer field' venue for a birthday braai and had a great day. It's so peaceful and we had the area all to ourselves. It was extremely hot on the day but there was great shade and the big fig tree is amazing so we were able to stay nice and cool. We were also provided with ample chairs and tables to use. Will definitely book again in future for a big braai with friends and family

What a step back into the past. Reminiscing about the past. The toys we remember and the collection of the dinky toys or match box cars are the largest collection we have ever seen. Loved the model train set and it actually runs. Just pop in a R5 coin and watch it go. Great attention to detail. Would definitely reccomend.

We visited Dirtopia on a weekday and we were alone. Bikes are ok, but heavy. We asked for 2 bikes and they were ready in 5 minutes. Rent is including helmet. You have to give your carkey or creditcard for safety deposit. First time on a bike for our friend, so we choose the easy trail. 7.5km / 1 hour. Selfguided. Not difficult but some nice gravelroads and singletracks in the vinyard. Also an intermediate track of 19km available. Nice views. We had a flat tyre close to the shop, no other bike in our size available so this was the end of our ride. No problem for us. 1 hour in 35 degrees was enough. Cool and cheap socks in the shop. Afterwards a cool drink in the café behind the shop. Sitting outside with view on table mountain. Spacious toilet for bikers to change.

I brought my wife and daughter for dinner last night All went well , service was fine, food good as always and then the pleasure of eating there ended .
We has a half pizza left which we planned to have at home with some more wine, just too full at that moment in time.
We received a takeaway holder, placed it in , greeted and left . We were still in the parking lot outside when we turned around realizing the pizza was forgotten on the table. I promise you, not even 7 minutes man back in the restaurant to be told it was thrown away!!, Not even held for 10 minutes in case the customer returns , we can forget anything, no it was thrown away. It was a soured moment, and left a bitter after taste because we had plans for it. It was an amazing pizza my daughter had. Regards Taswell Taswella@live.co.za
