What travellers are saying
- Rick WSevenoaks, UK2 353 contributionsThe view on Noordhoek beach as you exit the Chapmans peak Road from Hout Bay is completely stunning. It is even more interesting to take the road down to the beach itself and park your car in the small car park adjacent to the sands. It is often very windy here and the water can be exceptionally cold but in February 2024 my wife and I were able to walk across the beach to the sea and I swam in the waves - which for me was a bucket list item for the year! It is a beautiful but barren place. Nearby there are several options for a cup of coffee and a little bit further down the main road away from Hout Bay is a ‘village’ where you can buy craft items, eat meals or get a cup of coffee and a croissant. Altogether a lovely place!Written 6 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Mike and his wife were lovely and so accommodating. The horses are well trained and are former race horses that would have otherwise had no purpose. The only frustrating thing is that the horses have preferences of which horses they will ride with. My friend and I were placed on horses where mine needs to be at the front and his needs to be at the very back. We were basically separated for the entire ride. If you go, ask in advance to be on horses where you can be beside each other!Written 5 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
