Walking alongside the majestic Knysna elephants, as I gazed up at the towering trees and listened to the gentle rustling of leaves. The way they moved, their trunks entwined and their ears flapping lazily, was mesmerizing. It was as if we were entering their world, and they were allowing us to share in their quiet dignity. You're also allowed to feet them a variety of snacks/nuts which makes for an entertaining experience if you've got shy and timid friends

What a gem! An informative, interesting morning including a boat ride from the Featherbed office across to their private Nature reserve, a 4 x 4 trip around the 'mountain' and an easy-medium 2k hike back to base. Dillon our guide was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining and passionate about the surroundings and history of the area - both on land and water. The boat team of Big Boy, Lennox and Dillon, and the 4x4 driver Julian, were all excellent and we loved the banter between them. Having such a great team took the experience from great, to exceptional!

    Great variety of foods.
    Love coming here every year.
    Wheelchair accessible.
Unfortunately very long queues - but great food takes time.
May need more seating areas and designated kids play area.

This is the best beach I have ever been to in my life.
It is clean, beautiful, lovely waters, beautiful views and not overcrowded. I would go to this beach every day if I could.
The sunset views are just spectacular and I like the fact that you have space on the beach to swim and take a nice walk without having 100s of people around you.
    It was exceptionally tranquil.

The Knysna Lagoon is really spectacular with an abundance of wildlife to be seen on the sand banks when the tide goes out. Great place for a walk.

The beach and braai areas are beautiful, with stunning views of the ocean - but only for the able-bodied. Wheelchairs were not considered in the redevelopment and can no longer access / navigate from the boat launching side (esp if a boat is parked alongside) There are no ramps from the curbs either

A short beach walk from the Swartvlei car park to the Point. If you walk at low tide you can explore the many rock pools to explore or search for pretty shells on the beach.

Just visited here with my husband. Absolutely brilliant room full of bikes - ranging from never even having been fired up to being manufactured in the early 1950s.
The guys were lovely, friendly and knowledgeable.
Would definitely recommend stopping by here on your trip to Knysna

Second time to have visited the forest.

Two options, 3km or 9km walk.

Both walks are amazing with beautiful views of the forest. The sounds of all the birds and animals are amazing to experience.

A beautiful walk through indigenous forest, which crosses three streams. Generally an easy 6.5km walk, but with one long descent and a steep and stepped ascent. Moderate level of fitness required. A lovely opportunity to immerse oneself in one of Knysna's old forests. Plenty of birdlife if you're fast enough to spot them.

We spent 4 nights in the Mvubu Bush Camp which lies on the edge of Groenvlei in the Goukamma Reserve. The setting is lovely and the accommodation spacious and well designed. The early morning mists rising from the lake were beautiful, and the constant bird sounds made for a relaxing stay. We particularly enjoyed the Cape Clawless Otter walk through the ancient White Milkwood forests. Staff were attentive and helpful, even providing an adapter for a hairdryer when needed. Bring your own drinking water, even boiled it is not fit for consumption. The constant and quite loud traffic noise coming from the N2 on the other side of the lake was a distraction but we still enjoyed our visit. There is plenty to see and do in the area, e.g. a visit to the Sedgefield markets on a Saturday morning is a must, or a trip to Knysna for shopping and a great meal.

My wife and I went up to the Cloud 9 lookout recently and the word “spectacular” springs to mind, but probably doesn’t justify the views on offer. Definitely a fantastic view point and well worth a trip.

So worth a stop when in Sedgefield and in need of refreshment. The biggest problem is deciding which beer to have. So glad I opted for the Strawberry Blond it was delicious.
