My grandchildren visiting me from Australia loved this walk, & also feeding the elephants & staying in the Lodge….. the older two aged 7 & 8 can’t wait to tell their friends while the 3 year old enjoyed the experience from her dads shoulders….

A beautiful walk to see the serene beauty of Knysna. There's great security at the parking lot too. Video cameras and parking attendant. Make sure to give the parking attendant a tip :)

We booked for the tour which included lunch. The tour guide and his team were great - Exceptional service!
The buffet food was delicious, the chefs explained the ingredients (for allegies etc) and there were options to choose from. However, we got a poor service from the waitresses in their resturant, they were not interested in serving us the drinks. Since there was a buffet, you could order drinks from the waitresses. We had to go to them where they were chilling and having a conversation to order our drinks. They took long to bring our bill and we had to go to their pay station to pay as the boat was set to leave at 1:30 pm.

This is the best beach I have ever been to in my life.
It is clean, beautiful, lovely waters, beautiful views and not overcrowded. I would go to this beach every day if I could.
The sunset views are just spectacular and I like the fact that you have space on the beach to swim and take a nice walk without having 100s of people around you.
    It was exceptionally tranquil.

The Knysna Lagoon is really spectacular with an abundance of wildlife to be seen on the sand banks when the tide goes out. Great place for a walk.

The beach and braai areas are beautiful, with stunning views of the ocean - but only for the able-bodied. Wheelchairs were not considered in the redevelopment and can no longer access / navigate from the boat launching side (esp if a boat is parked alongside) There are no ramps from the curbs either

Beautiful and such untouched beauty 🤩 make sure you go when it’s low tide as the sea can get rough with high tide.

We were staying in Sedgefield recently and went along Cola beach which is truly spectacular and really clean. There was hardly another person on it when we were there as we walked a Mike or so along it. It truly is a spectacular beach.

The description was “moderately challenging”. It’s a bit more than that. Just beautiful at the river. Perfect for private swimming. If you find my driver’s licence in the river (fell out when I took out my camera) please return it!

Second time to have visited the forest.

Two options, 3km or 9km walk.

Both walks are amazing with beautiful views of the forest. The sounds of all the birds and animals are amazing to experience.

A beautiful walk through indigenous forest, which crosses three streams. Generally an easy 6.5km walk, but with one long descent and a steep and stepped ascent. Moderate level of fitness required. A lovely opportunity to immerse oneself in one of Knysna's old forests. Plenty of birdlife if you're fast enough to spot them.

We could not have enjoyed this experience more! It was unforgettable, amazing, awesome, moving, beautiful and thrilling ... all at once!

Arriving 30 minutes early, the walk starts with a short and helpful video on safety and Do's & Don't's. The staff are extremely professional and Knysna Elephant Park is very well run - with the safety of the customers, the elephants and the Team the absolute priority in equal measure. We felt safe at all times during our visit.

We took a short trip in the open air transport to reach the elephants and were also treated to seeing 8 healthy zebra roaming en route!

We purchased a R45 (£2.50) bucket of food to feed the beautiful elephants, which consisted of figs, carrots, apples and papaya(?) ... and they loved it! The 5 female elephants arrived and lined up behind a wooden bar, and it was easy and safe to hand them the food which they took with their trunk! It was amazing!

Then the 7 Guides calmly encouraged the elephants to start the walk and each was paired with one person and the 40 minute walk commenced. Our Guide (Fanwell) was very helpful and informative, providing many interesting facts as we walked.

We were thrilled to walk with 33 year old Sally, a female elephant who was one of the first two orphaned elephants to arrive at the park in 1994. She is a majestic, beautiful animal and had a calming energy - we absolutely loved the entire experience of walking alongside Sally with the Guide close to hand. We have already booked to return next year.

You will not be disappointed if you choose to book this once in a lifetime experience, it is truly memorable for all the right reasons!

Thank you to the entire Team who made our visit such a wonderful experience!

What a find! Not the easiest to locate … turn off N2 east of sedgefield on Lake Pleasant road … follow track until reach carpark at ocean.
We walked east along the beach for 5km then over dunes into inland path ‘Blombos’ back westwards which went high up over dunes/ridge offering stunning views
    14km in total, took us 3hrs 30.
    Well worth it!

Great beach for kids. The kids have a absolute blast however the water has a slight stench to it, which qas the only thing to be wary of.
