Lovely beach, one can hire umbrellas and sun loungers. There is a great beach bar and their restaurant right next to it. Clean, holiday vibes and very cold water.

Our walk in Fernkloof nature reserve stands out as one of my most worthwhile outdoor experiences ever. The trails along the mountain slopes are interesting and the scenery from high up there is marvelous, with the town down below and the blue ocean in the background. It was early winter but the day was blue and sunny. A visit in spring when all the flowers are blooming will be wonderful. We already saw some proteas and heath.

This beach is truly amazing! It has lots of space to find a spot to set up for the day. There are also friendly lifeguards on duty. It's a great spot for surfing and good for families with small kids.

We did this walk from Walkerbay and it was a magnificent walk on the coastline. Very well kept and well marked out. Easily accessible to all.

Hermanus all in all is a fantastic place to visit with loads of options for accommodation to suit every pocket and the same with restaurants. It is definitely THE whale watching capital

I tried many spots to see Whales but this spot is definitely aptly named. Did not see whales but saw lovely crashing waves, which I always find exciting

A brilliant introduction to Hermanus wines. What a pleasant plunch and wine tasting, followed by a walk around the maze of proteas and fynbos. Lots of space for kids to run around and the scenery is breathtaking. Sincere kudos to Watson who knows his wines.

Another small sandy beach between two cliffs with paths leading to this beach. A beautiful place to enjoy the seawater in safety

If you are looking for a great spot to go swimming or just to have a relaxing day on the beach, then make a trip to Kammabaai. The beach cannot accommodate as many people as Grotto Beach (main beach in Hermanus) and it has cliffs on both sides, making it more private and the waters' a bit calmer. However it is a very popular spot during peak season so make sure you arrive early or else you won't find any parking available. It's great for the whole family as it's basically divided into two smaller bays with some rocks in between where the children like to climb around. It's relatively shallow closer to shore if you just want to wade around, but you can go deeper in if you want to swim - there are also some nice waves for surfers. During peak season there are also lifeguards on duty. This has become my favorite beach in the area and I am sure it will continue to be.
