We stayed at the Victoria Bay camp site that has spectacular views, where one camps under the stars to the sound of the roaring waves coming into Victoria Bay. Each site has its own private and clean ablutions with a basin, shower and toilet supplied with toilet paper and regularly cleaned. A wash line and electricity. And a shared double sink to wash dishes. Friendly service and secure campsite with a locked gate for easy access down to the beach. Great service from the staff.

This drive is so beautiful, especially on a warm sunny day. If you are lucky you can see the clouds roll over the mountains from the other side of George. So amazing to witness.

It depends when you are in George. I am sure if one goes there in spring, it must be fabulous. In the height of summer, not a lot of blooming. But it is a nice, quiet walk. Afterwards in the cafeteria a phantastic avo sandwich and a pretty good coffee for no money. Nice!

The island is a small secluded private bunch of houses connected to the mainland by an interesting "one car at a time" bridge. Lovely setting and nice views. Quiet and peaceful.

Lovely safe park for kids to get rid of their energy. Honesty box is a great idea. My kids absolutely love the challenging paths and being able to ride to their heart's content. Coffee shop cute and friendly!
