    Children loved the maze.

Beautiful farm with enough shaded benches to relax.

    Strawberries are so
sweet and divine and at reasonable prices.

Outing for both young and old to explore.

This tour was excellent from the go. We had a friendly guide/driver who was very knowledgeable. The Safari Ostrich Farm was great fun and very informative. The drive along the Garden Route and the Little Karoo was mind blowing.
Herold Wines suited us to a tee, not a big winery with a hard sell, but more a hands on cottage industry. The owner Nico was friendly and it was clear he loved his wines, more than just a business.
The lunch platter and wines were extremely good value and tasty.
    Five stars to you.

We stayed at the Victoria Bay camp site that has spectacular views, where one camps under the stars to the sound of the roaring waves coming into Victoria Bay. Each site has its own private and clean ablutions with a basin, shower and toilet supplied with toilet paper and regularly cleaned. A wash line and electricity. And a shared double sink to wash dishes. Friendly service and secure campsite with a locked gate for easy access down to the beach. Great service from the staff.

Wonderful market.... Even while it was raining softly. Beautiful flowers, fresh veggies, pickles, jams, cheeses, and so many more. People where sitting under the trees and covers chatting away, eating yummy prepared foods with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filling the air. Well worth the visit.

I have been looking forward to visiting Cape Palette Gallery for a while and jumped at the chance to meet the owner, Doris.

What a beautifully laid-out gallery, I felt like I was having an artistic experience more than just another half-hearted setup of mediocre pictures.

With the after-effects of the lockdown period, I had forgotten what a real-life art gallery feels like. to experience the colours, and the sculptured beauties with my own hands and eyes was surreal.

If you are ever in George, take the time to visit, you won't regret it!

It depends when you are in George. I am sure if one goes there in spring, it must be fabulous. In the height of summer, not a lot of blooming. But it is a nice, quiet walk. Afterwards in the cafeteria a phantastic avo sandwich and a pretty good coffee for no money. Nice!

The "Big White Church" is a bit of a landmark in George. It stands majestic on one of the main arteries in town and at the top of one of the main cbd streets.

It is still used actively by the community of George and has a couple of lovely markets during the year - a meat market in August / September and the loveliest Christmas Market in December.

It is well worth a visit. The church grounds are open during the day.

Amazing how a group of volunteers managed to rebuild the toll house which was gutted in a massive fire some years ago. People from the area have donated family treasures and now you can have a coffee and pancake in a place which looks like a museum, feels like Ouma's house and gives good vibes.

Next time you're near George, turn off the main road and take the Montagu Pass. We've driven it in both directions, and it offers some of the best scenery in the area. The road is easily accessible to sedan cars, and has plenty of places for you to stop and take in the views. Pack some refreshments and just take a slow drive.
